Hi, went here for a 1 night stopover before moving on to another hotel, and first impression was I was back in the 70's, the decor takes you right back there, but the staff were very nice so went to our room and again furniture looked very tired really needs to be upgraded. Didn't have the best of sleeps because the 2 pillows were wafer thin. Got up for breakfast (usual fried bacon, sausage etc etc.) and it was OK, again the girl serving was very pleasant. Went for a short stroll after breakfast returning to check out, and when tidying our bed a bit before leaving noticed a blood stain under my pillow which certainly wasn't from or my wife, which leads me to believe that the sheets hadn't been changed from the previous visitor. Not good. When we went down to check out we waited to see someone at reception but no one there, and eventually left our keys next to where others had left theirs when leaving as we were short on time. All this at £140 per night which I think is way over what it should be considering the time warp, and I moved on to my second hotel at £100 a night which was far superior. All in all was disappointed with my overall stay and will not be returning.
