We stayed at this wonderful cottage over the diamond jubilee weekend and following week.
Where do I begin ..from the minute you walk in it feels like home. Baskets containing tea,coffee,jam,wine and biscuits welcomed us along with fresh flowers.
We had the best weather in the UK! and loved the costal walks. Alfie our dog has been sulking since we got home because he misses his costal walks and all those new smells!
This is an absolutely lovely cottage in an equally nice place. It's comfortable and clean, has beautiful bed linen and towels. Fantastic views and a beautiful little garden to sit with a drink watching the boats out at sea.
Crail itself has a great butchers, bakery and local store all within easy walking distance and a gorgeous pottery shop.

Belatedly reviewing while we're in the process of booking again for a break in March 2012.
The moment we closed the door on 21 Shoregate to begin our return journey to London we wanted to go back the next day. In fact, we wanted to stay forever. But life has a habit of taking its time, and things happening in their own way.
21 Shoregate is outstanding in every detail. We can't recommend it highly enough. It's an oasis. Book while you can.

My family has stayed at #21 on three occasions under two different owners over the years, and its perfection never alters. A timeless gem in an exquisite location, and at a bargain price. Easy access from Edinburgh and the airport. Lots of lovely day trips are easily made from this house -- if you can bring yourself to leave. I will not reiterate what has already been said here about the accommodation, save to say that it is all true. I was just looking to re-book for next year, and stumbled over all these reviews. Happy for the owners -- they deserve it -- but sad for me. My secret is out and the house is likely booked solid . . .
