A good 3 star hotel

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 18 Jun 2024via mobile
A comfortable 3 star hotel with good staff. A nice cooked breakfast. Better when there are no coach parties because then it is quieter and cooked to order rather than self service. I asked for natural yoghurt at the beginning of my stay but it never materialised. The hotel decor is dated. It winds around quite a bit but there are good signposts. The bathroom floor was dirty in the corners and the shower very unpredictable especially with the temperature . Soap and lotion was provided but didn't smell very nice. Toilet paper was thin. The bed was comfy, the TV worked as did the wi fi. Kettle, tea and coffee provided and it was quiet. A lift was also available. Easy to walk to the shopping centres or the train/bus station. Also plenty of fast food outlets around and the hotel has its own restaurant.

Nice clean hotel in a good location just off the high street where there are bars and restaurants. The food in the hotel was good, rooms were clean and had everything you'd expect. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Service was exceptional:

- I returned from a run on a hot day and wanted a glass of water at the bar to take to me room... I got a pint of ice and a large jug. Maybe he took pity on me!

- I left my electric toothbrush behind, Emma resolved the problem immediately and it was delivered home quickly

If I'm back in Ballymena I'll be staying there.

Perfect place to stay with brilliant tasty food and very tastefully decorated guest rooms, don’t know about the comfort of the beds but they should be acceptable. Shopping is reasonably close to the hotel, lea-sure centre is also not far away

We stayed at the Adair Arms on Sunday night with a special deal. A bottle of Prosecco was included as well as a 2 course meal. The food was really good served by the loveliest girl, she came over to see us the following morning to see if we had a good night and had enjoyed our food.
The staff are really friendly and do their best to accommodate their guests. The bed was really comfortable with great pillows and the towels were really fluffy, which is a must!
I have stayed here before and would not hesitate to come back again. Yes it is an old hotel but that is all part of the character. It is very clean with free car parking which is great as you are right in the town.
The shopping in Ballymena is great, and it’s a nice wee town to wonder around.
I will definitely be coming back to stay here.

Room tip: If you like shopping you could not stay anywhere handier. As well as Ballymena town centre, it’s not to far from Junction One shopping area.

Excellent food, friendly service and pleasant restaurant. We had not been in the Adair Arms for some time but yesterday booked a table for evening meal. Staff was friendly and attentive. Meals were of both good quality and quantity. The hotel was providing meals for couples, birthday celebrations and tourists. We shall return again !
