“A stunning cottage in Hardy countryperfectly blending that stepping back in time atmosphere with absolute modern comfort”
Reviewed 23 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

It is impossible to praise this cottage enough , situated right in the middle of what must be one of the most beautiful villages in Britain . And the inside doesn't disappoint , beautifully appointed with everything for the comfort of the visitor , yet not in such a way that you feel you can't relax and feel ' at home ' for your time there . In a blustery Autumn , the wood burning stove was a lovely cosy extra , which went a long way to make up for the weather ! But as its such a wonderful area for exploring , walking and enjoying summer or winter, the cottage is perfectly placed for all kinds of activities , the perfect Isle of Purbeck offers beaches , cliff top walks , wild heaths and woods and of course friendly local pubs with hearty menus . And places of interest a little further afield ( Cerne Abbas , Chesil Beach , Bovington Tank Museum , , Monkey World to name but a few ) truly something for everyone and a fabulous place to come back to . Really a treat , try it and enjoy !!

“Wisset Cottage - a delightful home from home”
Reviewed 17 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

The cottage is delightful. The lounge is very comfortable with games, books and DVDs to use. The dining area is spacious and again comfortable. The kitchen is modern with all the appliances one needs during a stay. The courtyard garden is small and totally private and gets the sun. The bedrooms are cosy and very comfortable and the bathroom is good.
From this cottage we were able to roam south Dorset and the Isle of Purbeck. There is so much to see and do - we never managed to fir all our activities in! So hope to return in the future.
All in all a delight, clean, comfortable and well situated in the village to walk to the various pubs and restaurants, all of which were good

Liked best: Its location; this allowed us to walk to drink and eat at several places - all within 5 minutes walk or less.
Liked least: the courtyard was very small - but did get some sunshine.

“Wonderful thatched cottage with spacious rooms and lovely modern kitchen - a great location.”
Reviewed 21 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We had a wonderful holiday at Wissett Cottage. The owners gave us a warm welcome with everything at our fingertips - maps, suggested walks, books and tips on stunning places to explore. The cottage has a great layout with a spacious cozy lounge room and separate dining room all loaded with charm and warmth. The courtyard is a wonderful private space to sit and enjoy the sunshine. All this is perfectly located near to cafes, local store & friendly pubs and just outside the door the majestic Corfe Castle. Go visit the original train station nearby & catch the steam train. It's easy to be seduced by the beauty of the rolling hills and pretty meadows and wonder about a time gone by but now thankfully restored. We loved the modern kitchen with a brilliant stove that made everyday cooking a pleasure. We also enjoyed how everything was so clean & immaculate. Looking out the windows onto a pretty garden and trees completed our perfect experience. Our only regret was to leave but we plan to return.

“Beautiful spacious thatched cottage”
Reviewed 18 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

This is a beautiful , comfortable and spacious thatched cottage , very well equipped , light and airy in the centre of Corfe Castle . The kingsize double bed is more comfortable than our bed at home ! Good wi-fi, TV and DVD player . One of the best holiday rentals we've stayed in.
