It’s fun to mix and match sushi with English such as truffle chips. Battered broccoli is particularly good. Always up to a great consistent standard with friendly staff.

We had a lovely three course lunch from their set menu. The food was outstanding, especially given the cost of three courses was only £18.95. I had the fish special, which was pan fried cod and my wife had the bento box. The service was friendly and efficient.
Having lunch at the Hook made our day trip to Guernsey extra special. I will definitely go back next time we are in guernsey.

I love the sushi from The Hook; it's always fresh, generously sized and delicious! Since they have upgraded their facilities, they have unfortunately removed their take-away fridge in the entrance, which used to be filled with various bento boxes, but I was happy to learn that they still provide a lunch on-the-go option which they make to order.

Since learning this, a friend and I like to treat ourselves every so often with takeaway. The whole sushi menu is available with a 15% discount when ordered to-go, with a special lunch bento menu also on offer. Between our several visits, we have tried the salmon, shell fish and omakase bentos, the okimari small platter, and several a la carte options. Without fault, everything has been delicious! Our only issue has been that on more than one occasion, the order has been either misheard over the phone or just misinterpreted, as we have twice received the wrong items. On one occasion, our order was forgotten about and I had to return later on to pick it up in the evening. They apologised for the forgotten order, which seemed to be just a genuine human error, and they offered some extra sushi by way of apology which we appreciated.

Although not as reliable as their restaurant service, the takeaway is a great option! There are so few places to get sushi on the island and, as far as I can tell, this is the only place to get it freshly prepared. It's a huge improvement on the rubbish you get from the supermarkets! It would be nice to have a more reliable way to pre-order it (like a form on the website, for example!) so that the correct order is received, but otherwise it's a great service. What's more, they have a loyalty card that gives you a free bento after a certain number of purchases!

Popped in for early diner this last Saturday and first to be seated, very pleasant blonde staff lady, think her name was Natalia, placed us at our table, took our orders and sincerely checked on our food and welfare throughout, was not oppressive or shallow questions, but really made us feel welcome. Food was served swiftly and hot, with again happy and seemingly 'pleased to be there' staff.

Good food, good service, good attitude, good luck. We'll be back soon.

Returning for the third year the food was still good but the service was lacking. The attention to detail had gone. Drinks menus were tatty, blackboards weren’t completed. Our orders were not taken accurateley, Please get back to where you started. It was amazing.
