If you fancy a steak, you could do much worse than go here to eat: they know their steak well. The range of offered origins and dates hung was impressive (actually made me wonder how they could carry so much stock) and the cooking was excellent. Some decent fish available, such as cod gratin. Very limited non-meat options, but it was possible to make a good vegetarian dinner out of choosing several sides. Cocktails were deeelicious. Beware the main wine list and its prices unless you are celebrating in a fairly big way. House wines acceptable in quality and price. Very good staff overall giving pleasant service.

We were lucky enough to come here during a weeks stay. The food was fantastic and staff very attentive. One disappointment was the cheese board, I would avoid but everything else was excellent from a varied menu.
We were also lucky enough to have a cocktail making session here which was great fun!

Cool setting with really attentive service. The steak options were fantastic and we had a really nice Rioja. ( 3 steak, 1 tuna) Good sides to share between 4 of us. Different options with truffle chips, grown up macaroni. It deserves its high rating as we couldn’t fault the service. I ordered the tuna and it was over cooked on arrival as I ordered rare. The waiter took it and returned in less than 5 minutes with a perfect tuna. Now that is service. They turned it around so quickly we were all impressed!!

With a relatively good name in Guernsey we thought we would give this restaurant a go.

We weren't keen on any of the starters or desserts so decided we would only order a main.

It wasn't very easy picking which steak we wanted as they were quite hard to read and understand on their black boards.

A male came over to take our order and we stated the steak that we had chosen, a T-bone to share. He gave us a disapproving look and said that's a lot steak. We said that we were aware of that but we're used to sharing that size (900g ish including the bone) he then said if you're sure, but why don't you go for the smaller one. We said we were fine with the one we had chosen and then went on to order our sides feeling a little bit judged, we asked for (triple cooked chips, onion rings, Mac and cheese and mushrooms). After writing these down he sarcastically went "anything else?" to which I politely said no thank you.

Our food arrived quickly and was tasty however following this males comments when we ordered we felt very uncomfortable and left as soon as we had finished.

On the upside - the bootilicious cocktail is delicious!

Having spent many years working in London I have had more than my fair share of great steak in nice restaurants but on Monday 24th September my 3 friends and I discovered something very special on Guernsey with the Red Grill. The place was fully booked and was buzzing like it was Saturday night, all food but especially the Steak was phenomenal (1.6k cooked to medium rare perfection for the table to share) the staff attentive, the wine menu was fabulous and I am planning my next trip back to Guernsey just so I can try more of the menu!
