Currently in room 98 of the hotel and have to give credit where credit is due. The hotel is beautiful with the rooms being spacious and scrupulously clean. Staff are very polite and friendly and go out of their way to help you. Our room is on the ground floor with French windows opening up directly to the swimming pool. The location of the hotel is ideal, its beachfront and it is only a short walk to the centre of St Helier. This is our first time on Jersey and if this hotels high standards, both within the hotel and their customer service , are the standard to expect, then we will definately come back.

Our much looked forward to stay was cancelled 4 days before we were due to stay. Devastated we were told we were double booked despite paying in full.
Be warned this hotel double books! Really disgusting practice and so upsetting for our family.

My trip had been delayed twice due to travel restrictions and I was so looking forward to actually getting to visit. The Ommaroo Hotel is in a lovely position and, as some of the other reviews mention, it has a certain grandeur reminiscent of times past. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the bedding and towels are good quality. Shower gel and handwash are supplied in refillable bottles which is great to see. The breakfasts had a wide range of options. The cooked buffet breakfast was the same each day but the eggs were impressively fried, which is tricky in a buffet, and the sausages were some of the best I have eaten in a hotel. The coffee was a little doubtful, but that may have been just my taste. I had a lovely dinner in the conservatory one evening, the menu was comprehensive with a wide variety of choices. Any issues were dealt with promptly and I would certainly stay again when in Jersey. Special thanks to Joanna, one of the Managers and Chris in the restaurant for looking after me so well. It does make a difference when travelling alone.

Room tip: Room 31 on the ground floor overlooks the swimming pool

This is such a lovely step back in time. A real portal onto quieter more sedate times.
We didn't actually get the room we requested but were upgraded to a large room on the front with a wrought iron balcony.
Huge room high ceilings clean nice views.
The usual busy vibe wasn't there of course because of covid but they did their best.
Food was good and breakfast sufficed.
The conservatory at the front is lovely to eat in. Great views of the Lido and sea.
This is a Grand hotel from a bygone era.

Room tip: Good big car park. Lovely views at the front.

We chose the Ommaroo because of the look and location, and couldn't have been better. Right on the sea front with great views Lovely pool at the back which had the sun all day.Only ten min walk into the centre of St Helier and bus stops outside ( every 20mins) local pubs and restaurants just up the road. We had a room at the back(no.45) lovely and quiet and free wifi. The staff throughout the hotel were brilliant , from the front desk to the girls and boys in the breakfast room and housekeeping .so so friendly, . I never got her name but the lady supervising the dinning room, always chatty and sympathetic to my hangover..Thank-you

Room tip: Quiet rooms I guess at the back and brilliant views at the front. Great pool to chill out which has the sun all day, this place was perfect, definitely be returning.
