A wonderful, peerless experience in the depth of winter. With the Castle shut out of season it was easy to get lost in the feeling that the whole place was ours. The apartment is well appointed, comfortable and with all the facilities expected of self-catering. The rooms are large and well furnished but you never lose sight of the fact that this is a castle. A highlight was unfettered access to the external parts of the castle, the breakwater and private beach, and the exterior seascape at low water.
The booking process was simple and the support from the on-site member of staff was excellent. Always friendly and welcoming when we spoke but still left us feeling we were alone in the huge fortress which was excellent.

Excellent castle, even during covid and without tourists the site was lovely. Interesting history to learn and beautiful views, and staff are helpful too. Food was slightly expensive, but nothing out of the ordinary for a mainly tourist attraction. Would definitely visit again, thank you

This Castle is a must see when you are in Jersey. Full of history and stunning views. You can decide if you walk over tho the castle (tide of corse) or you take the ferry which is a peciluar vehicle but fun to drive with it. You don't have that this often in your life.

The Castle is full of history and pieces especially when the Germans occupied it during 2nd World War. There is a cafe inside where you can buy some drinks and cakes.

Be aware that smoking is not allowed during your visit. Even vaping is prohibited.

This is a nice excursion for couples, friends, family alike.

Much larger than it appears from the shore ! Easley reached by a ferry. Well laid out and described exhibits. Interesting for both adults and children

The whole thing starts with a fabulous 'duck - boat' trip, manned by a couple of very interesting chaps, and a very funny safety video that everyone watched ! This trip is motor or sailing dependent on level of water, and takes you past the Victorian sea lido. The Castle is much bigger than was expected and very, very interesting. Some members of staff live there and there is also an apartment that can be rented from Jersey Heritage - I think that would be a fantastic experience. The views from the high points were far reaching and gave us chance to see the Jersey coastline from a slightly different perspective. The cafe was adequate, and the Covid-driven one-way system was a bit tricky to navigate ,but the staff were really enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Thoroughly recommended.
