Fabulous restaurant great food beautiful surroundings excellent service and a great menu choice you can also avail of the early bird menu this award winning restaurant is located on the outskirts of beautiful Cappoquin and when there you can also visit the beautiful glenshelane river walk also when you visit don't forget to take a trip to nearby mount melleray Cistercian abbey and you might also like to visit Barron's coffee house and the famous blackwater river

Attended Richmond house as a wedding guest recently! The service was fantastic and attention to detail was superb. The rooms are tastefully redecorated and the food is of a very high quality! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a venue for a small wedding. thanks to all the staff for their wonderful service and attitude throughout the day they couldn't have done anymore!

Stayed while travelling through Ireland (exploring part of Ireland ancient east) and loved this beautiful country house hotel. The staff/ Owner were so friendly and helpful. Arrived late at night (8.30ish) and was offered fresh tea and cake in the lounge as I was not hungry enough for dinner. The menu looked divine.
Breakfast was fantastic. home made rhubarb compot, fresh eggs from the chickens on the farm and great home made bread.
Room was large and bed comfortable.
The place was amazing value too. I would definitely come back.
thanks for a great nights stay.

Just home from attending a wedding weekend in Richmond House. Even in the rain the venue is stunning. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff which included the hands- on owners Claire and Paul. The food was the best wedding food (or restaurant) ever tasted, a sentiment agreed by all guests. Unfortunately we didn't have the opportunity to stay in one of the beautiful bedrooms - no room left in the inn. Once again a huge thank you to Claire, Paul and all the staff, and apologies if we made too much noise!

I had a wonderful one night stay at Richmond House and would have liked to stay longer. We received a warm reception on arrival, the room was very clean and comfortable, dinner was excellent and breakfast was carefully prepared and there were options to suit every taste. Overall a very pleasant stay in a fine old country house.
