Worst service and value for money meal I have had in Ireland including lunches. Nearly 30 mins to deliver 2 soup starters and a stroganoff main and the servings were embarrassing for the costs. Would not eat here avoid.

We stopped off at this establishment for some lunch and liquid refreshment.
What a fantastic pint of Guinness. After a couple of pints i didnt need to much to eat.
The seafood is to die for. Caught locally and cooked to perfection.
This establishment is well worth a return visit. (longer stay required)

Been here a few times, used to visit mullaghmore as a child. Excellent views particularly in the restaurant. Great pool and pub attached to the hotel. Would highly recommend. Food was okay but its all about the views and chilling

Just returned from a weekend break at Pier Head, had a very enjoyable weekend, views from Restaurant and our bedroom were fantastic, but were spoiled by dirty windows in both areas, covered in finger prints & fly marks, housekeeping take note!
Bedrooms were otherwise clean and comfortable, a large room, but in bathroom nowhere to set toiletries everything had to sat on floor.
The dinner menu was fine, if limited in choice (we ate in restaurant both nights) and we noticed that most people ate in bar (more choice but not the same view!)
Entertainment very good a live band both nights, but started very late at 11.00pm.
Also used Spa and very good too and reasonably priced.
Overall the hotel could do with a little spruce up, a wee bit dated in places.
This was our second visit to Pier Head, we do like the atmosphere, entertainment and the lovely location and do hope to be back again sometime.

Pier Head Hotel is in a lovely position overlooking the harbour and bay. Our room was clean and comfortable and in a quiet position. The staff were friendly and attentive and we could not fault the service we got in the bar where we had a meal. The meal itself was perfectly acceptable and reasonably priced for Ireland. Breakfast was served in a lovely dining room overlooking the bay. The breakfast itself was very nice. We had use of the leisure facilities which were excellent. We thought this hotel was good value for money
