“Awesome Place!”
Reviewed 8 January 2018 for a stay in January 2018

This cottage was so cute! The family is beyond welcoming and Peter is hilarious. Our favorite room was the tv room because it got really nice and toasty in there. Had a very nice atmosphere to it. The dogs were so cute as well! It was nice to come back to the cottage after a long day and get greeted by them. So cute. :D

Hi brittany. Delighted you enjoyed the cottage so much... And Peter and his antics!! And the brewery corner for the odd pint I believe?? Hope to see you both again soon.

“Very very disappointed”
Reviewed 17 December 2017 for a stay in December 2017

We stayed at Larkside Cottage after reading great reviews only to find not at all has discribed. Freezing cold heating wasn’t on had to get owner. Stairs to upstairs were totally dangerous and risky hand rail only goes half way upstairs upstairs adults have to bend over to get to there beds outside steps to the cottage uneven different sizes & shapes very slippery and difficult to go up or down especially when your disabled has no handrails to support you especially when icy and wet shall not be returning and be sending photos to the agency and no WiFi has stated garden needs to be tlc

We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay at Larkside cottage. Just a few lines to clarify...
The heating in subsidised by heaters in every room. When my husband when to investigate none of the heaters had actually been switched on. Why?
Our cottage has original steps which were cleared of snow each morning for safe access.
It was an unprecedented cold spell with lots of snow. Peter facilitated your group each morning driving them down to the main road, dropping people off so they could be collected from the main road etc.
It is wintertime.... And yes the garden probably does need some tlc.... It will get it in the springtime.
The wi fi access code is in the welcome brochure.... We also live in the heart of the country and on occasion the wi fi can act up. Did you remember to enter in the access code?you never indicated at any time during your stay the at wi fi was giving trouble.

“My favorite place to stay in all of Ireland!”
Reviewed 21 October 2017 for a stay in September 2017

I couldn't have asked for a better or more charming place! This little cottage is reminiscent of a fairy cottage. Stone structure, twig arches, fruit trees, fairy lites, flowers, and butterflies everywhere. Perfect little patio to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening or a cup of tea in the morning.
The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook a meal or brew a pot of coffee or tea. The living room is cozy and there is a darling little fireplace that makes it feel like a home away from home. The stairway is intriguing and unique. I've never seen one like it before. And the loft is comfortable and inviting.
There are rescue dogs and cats that will greet you when you arrive. They are all very sweet and one of them will even come to the Dutch door every morning to say hello!
The owners are wonderful!!! Informative, funny, sweet, charming. I could go on and on. I adored them! I can't wait to visit again!

“Beautiful cottage and gardens”
Reviewed 13 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

What a delightful place, like a storey book with all the animals wandering around the beautiful gardens, very comfy cottage with everything you could possibly need for your stay. Sky tv was handy when you have a 14 yr old, wifi best up in the attic or outside but we found it adequate for our needs. The owners were very friendly, without being intrusive and the fresh Hen and duck eggs were very much appreciated. Got to mention the very friendly dogs and one of the cats, always there to greet you everyday. We found it a great base as we went out to explore everyday , Dublin, kilkenny, birr, Tipperary, Waterford, dungarven etc, we even got good weather !
