“No buts...all good!!”

Located in an isolated setting, ensuring absolute peace and quiet. The cottage is surrounded by drystone walls, green grass, mountains and sheep. Magnificent !
Whilst off the main road it is well located for sightseeing and is only a short drive to the local pub and shop. For bushwalkers the "Pilgrim's Way" is located about 200 metres from the house and well worth the hike.
The cottage is spotlessly clean and very spacious. The upstairs bedroom is absolutely huge with what some may call wasted space; but we enjoyed the sunny outlook and day bed. The kitchen is spacious and exceptionally well equipped.
The owner is very helpful; even arranging to post my "lost" wallet to our next location.
Overall, a very satisfying experience.

“nice, but...”
Reviewed 24 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

thanks for the nice accomodation.
The ground floor is very nice with all things you need in a house, but the first floor was to big and to loveless arranged - it looks like a ballroom. I miss some furniture there.

Thanks for the feedback. The upstairs used to be a studio, so I understand what you are saying. This is our first year of letting and we do hope to put a 2nd bathroom up there next year. In the meantime, I will look to cosy it up a bit.

“A beautiful scenic escape to peace and serenity”

Myself and my girlfriend stayed here over the Easter weekend and had an amazing time. The cottage is surrounded by several farms and being lambing season there were plenty ewe's getting up to no good which was entertaining viewing. The cottage is located incredibly close to several Western Way trails, meaning within a ten minute walk you can see absolutely breathtaking views.

Helen clearly cares a lot for her guests as she provides a huge folder bulging with all the information you could possibly need for the cottage itself and things to do during your stay. Everything you could possibly need is provided in the kitchen and is in fantastic condition. A nice home-cooked dinner followed by a night by the fire after spending the day adventuring is highly recommended! A particularly nice touch during our stay was a well received and quickly eaten easter egg! (thank you Helen)

During our stay we spent time in Kylemore Abbey, got to experience stunning views of the sun shining off Lough Corrib and our particular highlight was spending some time in Roundstone, including the nearby beach.

We had an absolutely amazing stay and would recommend it to anyone willing to listen. As Helen has mentioned a car is absolutely essential, your stay will be made better for it. We came from Belfast and would recommend anyone heading to the cottage take the scenic route along the coast

We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!

~aqWe had a lovely, cosy stay with our young daughter in this traditional cottage. The fireplace was a treat! And the location is just wonderful, a truly beautiful valley.
Very friendly and helpful Helen made our visit to the region a great succes, one which we hope to be able repeat in the future! Many thanks for a fantastic holiday.
