The location and hospitality of Zetland is unbeatable but it is a shabby property. House desperately needs updating on all fronts. However the hospitality of owner and the staff is so wonderful!! Truly worthwhile if you don't mind the actual rooms.

My wife and I spent 4 wonderful nights at the Zetland while visiting the beautiful coast and countryside. The old world feel of the building and furniture was matched by the old world personal service. We felt like part of the family by the time we left.

This place has its priorities right- warm, comfy, relaxed, personal & homely. Lovely garden and path down to the quay, great views of the bay.

Thank you for your warm hospitality and for making us feel so welcome and at home. Great having the pub adjacent too!

This beautiful hotel is like travelling back in time to a Victorian holiday. The staff was incredible and helpful. The room had amazing views of the ocean and the local Connemara hills. The food was delicious with an amazing breakfast. The owner makes his own whiskey and tells great stories about it. I loved it!

Room Tip: A room with a view of the ocean on the top floor was my favorite!

Our stay at this hotel was part of a bike tour of Western Ireland. The building, garden and amenities were lovely, as was our host Colm Redmond. The rooms were well appointed and mine had a lovely view of the property. We had a fabulous dinner in the dining room and enjoyed the camaraderie of the pub on premises. I would gladly return to spend more time there.
