Does the bar close so early 9pm weekdays and 10pm Friday, Saturday. Surely this service could be improved to the benefit of all. There is a captive audience who want to enjoy their stay and many people like to enjoy a late night particularly whilst on vacation. Also as a business it makes sense to do this. Keep your bar open an hour longer to provide your customers with a service that is expected in this day and age.

I really liked the slides and the water park and I really loved a girl who was operating the slides named Tamika, she was really nice and did her job well! I really loved the games like chess, ping pong, pool, checkers and etc. I would recommend this place.

This should be added to everyone's bucket list - an ocean front room on the higher floors are exceptionally memorable (we stayed on the 12th floor of the Palmetto Tower- excellent). There is nothing more appealing than starting your day with a beautiful sunrise, with soft ocean waves, and the sounds of water rolling across the beach with coffee in your hand. The sand is soft and welcoming even when tanning later in the day. The Dunes Village Resort is ideally located right on the beach front with great rooms, nice restaurant options including the tiki bar for afternoon drinks, attentive staff such as Ashley who was a great help. An ocean front room on a higher floor is an additional plus to just sit on the balcony anytime and enjoy the sights and sounds of the beach. All staff were very friendly and always smiling including the house keepers. The pools were a nice addition as well in case the ocean is not your thing. Great bargain prices and we certainly plan on being there again....... We were only there for 2 days after being evacuated compliments of Hurricane Florence but the experience was fantastic in our short stay. The hotel handled the emergency evacuations very professionally and refunded us for nights we didn't stay within a week. Nice job......

Room tip: Get an Ocean Front View Room on a higher floor - it is well worth it.

This was my family's third trip to the Dunes Village Resort, and there are several reasons why there will be a fourth. The location of the hotel is excellent; it is a couple of miles from the hubbub of the boardwalk, and we love that. We always get an ocean front room, and the view is fantastic. The beachfront is pristine, and it never seems to be too crowded. The Dunes is also an excellent place for kids and families--the pools, lazy rivers, slides, splash park, playground are wonderful. The parking is conveniently located right across the street, and the staff has always been very friendly and efficient. The rooms are nice, but the kitchenettes are a bit shoddy--mainly the flimsy stove, but the fridge, microwave, and sink are very good. I would recommend the hotel change out the shoddy stoves and have the cleaning staff clean the top of the fridge (it is a bit of a reach, even someone who is 6'1").

Room tip: Get a room above the second floor with an ocean view, and stay in the Palms tower.

The dunes is very nice however the halls and elevators are musty smelling. The staff was very friendly! Can’t wait to go back! They made us feel welcome even though they were recovering from the hurricane.
