We have been Marriott timeshare owners for 20+ years and own 3 units and have traveled to numerous properties across the country. We realize we were coming to this property during one of the busiest weeks of the year over 4th of July. We came early realizing we could use the amenities and aware check-in time is 4 pm. We were told two of the three units were not ready till 4:30, which then went to 5 and then went to 5:30. Initially was told 3 different totals of "resort compensation" . And then was told housekeeping would contact me for they have "standards" for cleaning and it was their responsibility for the rooms not being ready. They said housekeeping "attempted" to contact me but we were not available, thus I gave them my direct cell phone number. No one contacted me or followed up and no follow up from upper management as a courtesy. The rooms have been nicely renovated and the property is well maintained and the staff handling kids activities were great. The washer and dryers worked very poorly and one was even replaced during our stay. Overall customer service was not typical for Marriott Property, specifically upper management.

We own a week here, but because we live in the West, our visits are infrequent. If your goal is to have beach/ocean views, this place is not ideal. But if you want easy beach access for walks or bike rides, this is your place.
All of the staff members demonstrated Marriott’s spirit to serve. The on-site food outlet, All Y’all produces good food and beverages. The resort has lots of special activities and evening events for kids of all ages. This is a great location for a family vacation.
The newly renovated villas are well equipped and very functional.
The photo was taken from our balcony and shows how shady the courtyard is. This was the night they had a dinner with entertainment.

Lucky to stay here during a rare spring break with 85 degree temperatures. Wonderful suite with classy decorations and a kitchen fully equipped. The heated pool was marvelous and the second pool over looking the ocean beach was extraordinary. Renovations to the front lobby and fitness center were continuing during our stay. We hope to return to experience the completed resort! Great restaurants in the area.

This is our fourth vacation at Marriott's Barony Beach Club, since it opened, I think 10 years ago.

Our vacation could not have been more perfect. The Barony Beach Club part of our vacation has no room for improvement, it is perfect! I can't say that we've had anything but great vacations at Marriott Vacation Club resorts, but, this one (at Barony Beach Club) will be difficult to improve upon.

From our kind "Welcome" and warm smile, from Richard at the gate house, to a gracious front desk staff, the stage was set for a flawless vacation. Our two-bedroom villa, and all of the common areas were beautifully designed and decorated and are maintained in pristine condition. The grounds of Barony Beach Club offer everything that you may want, of a perfect vacation destination: pools, comfortable lounge chairs, a great fitness facility and spa, casual restaurant, and direct beach access, to one of the nicest beaches in the world. There is an endless array of activities offered for guests of all ages, offered by the resort. The staff are as gracious and efficient as they can be, every contact that we had with a staff person began with a warm, genuine smile and greeting (the employees seem like they are very happy employees). The resort is immaculate; housekeeping and engineering are as good as they can be. The weather was perfect, and there is an endless array of activities on Hilton Head Island. American Airlines flies into Hilton Head Airport (on Hilton Head Island), and is soon to begin Regional Jet service into Hilton Head Island Airport (HHH). Savannah/Hilton Head Airport is less than an hour away, is served by most major airlines, and is an easy drive away from Hilton Head Island.

I would unequivocally recommend Marriott's Barony Beach Club for a Hilton Head Island vacation, that is rich in southern hospitality.

Barony Beach Resort is absolute perfection! Our room was updated and so clean and functional! It was well appointed with everything we needed for cooking dinner! I love the new dcour! There were so many fun activities that we did all week it was incredible! Our every needs as met and more! I left a pair of tennis shoes on purpose beacause they wouldn’t fit in my suitcase and they called me within 30 minutes to tell me that I had left them! Their customer service is second to none! Everyone was excellent at the front desk and a small greeted us everywhere we went! You cannot do better than this resort!
