The setting of the campground is very nice. Clean and well-kept lots. Very nice pool and Jacuzzi. From that point on, it all goes downhill....simply put...renters are discriminated against. Renters are not allowed in the clubhouse or the dock area despite payment to stay at this "resort". 5 days into my stay, I was directed to take my flag down off the back of my RV because it was against policy (not written anywhere and when I checked in I asked if I could erect my flag and was told it was fine)...and because I was blocking the view of the lake. The interesting thing is there we multiple flags flying on other RV’s in the campground...but they were being flown by owners...not renters. When asked directly why those other flags were allowed to be flown, we were told it was because they are owner!! BTW...the flags I was flying was the American flag and under it was a 101st Airborne Flag...I am retired Army....it was extended 20 feet in the air, absolutely no obstruction to any view from the uninhabited lots behind my rig.
As a result of these insults and discrimination, we packed up our RV and left 3 days early.
If you are a Veteran and planning a trip to this location...I'd suggest you avoid it. There are too many other RV campgrounds that truly deserve the label "resort"...this is certainly NOT one of them. Frankly speaking, their actions...specifically some of the owners...were un-American and unacceptable.
The location is certainly off the beaten path, the road in is narrow and somewhat maintained. WiFi is basically nonexistent and the rental spots are not cleaned after renters depart. Ours had an awful smell of the sewer and we had to get some Pine sol and clean the area.
Spend your hard earned money elsewhere!
