Had the Gnocchi with a gorgonzola cream sauce with a 6oz filet sliced over the top. The sauce was creamy but not overpowering. The filet was cooked med rare, the dish was excellent. Keep up the great work!

The Oyster Bar has good seafood at prices a bit higher than the location would suggest, more like a water-front place in Newport. That said, good selection, portions and quality.

Great find in East Greenwich. Their buck-a-shuck was an incredible deal. The oysters didn't look like they were on a diet - these were nice, plump, and fresh. But we didn't stop there. The salad is very good deal - piled high and perfect amount of dressing and grilled octopus was good.

Only downside? We went there 2 days in a row. On the second day, I ordered a glass of wine from the day before (and on the wine list). The waitress said, that's not available but I can get another brand for $1 more. When I mentioned I asked for the same glass of wine the day before - and got it - she said that wine hasn't been available for a while. Why is it still on the wine list? Not going to ruin a meal over $1 (in this case a few) but its these bait and switch which really nags the hell out of the me.

Knocked my rating down a star but the food and experience otherwise was good enough to keep this on my list.

Gives Matunuck Oyster Bar a run for its money! GBOB is a lot smaller than MOB and it doesn't have the water view, but it stands toe-to-toe on the food front. A couple dozen of their briny-fresh plump oysters (4 different local varieties on tap for that evening) with a good accompanying mignonette; a couple plates of terrific oak-grilled oysters that were rich with butter and a hint of garlic; and over-stuffed stuffies with chorizo; was a wonderfully convivial start to the meal. I followed with a main course of the lobster risotto, a luscious plate of creamy and silky risotto, with the infused shellfish flavor shining through well, and generous pieces of lobster meat scattered throughout. It was also topped with three perfectly seared sea scallops, big, sweet, and tender. A very nice dish. One of my colleagues had the baked panko-encrusted haddock and it looked quite appetizing, crisply cooked on the outside with a moist and flaky interior. We shared some desserts of the creme brulee and chocolate cake - both satisfyingly sweet enough without being cloying. Definitely a place to bookmark for a return visit.

The restaurant is small, just one room with a bar, but it is a comfortingly cozy space. There are only a couple tables large enough for a party of 6 available so it's definitely not a large-group-size place and I'd recommend reservations to ensure a table. Wait service was very good, prompt and courteous.

The food is great but they need a bigger space. Always crowded. Love the lobster rolls there. Son loves the oysters. Very fresh.
