Cute hotel on the Main Line

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 27 May 2024via mobile
The hotel was very clean with spacious rooms and basic amenities, like a fridge. Real cups, not paper, would’ve been appropriate for the price. The hotel, itself, is on the expensive side, given its location on the main line. Since the restaurant is closed for a remodel, it would also be appropriate and appreciated to have more extensive breakfast items, like muffins, donuts, and bagels. We also suggest discontinuing the term “garden view” as the bulk of the rooms look onto an ugly parking lot (very misleading name).

Thank you for the positive review, April. We appreciate and value your feedback. Please note, the room type you refer to is named Garden because it is located on the Garden Level of the hotel and is noted as such in the room description when making your reservation online. We have updated your guest profile to request a Garden View on future stays and we will do our very best to accommodate this request depending on availability.

Rooms, hallways, lobby, elevator very dated, clean but very dated. Their event space and restaurant is currently going through renovation so perhaps will be a lot nicer in a 6 months - a year? Staff is great, very friendly and helpful. I'd recommend The Inn at Villanova or The Wayne Hotel over The Radnor for the time being -

Room tip: Check out The Inn at Villanova or The Wayne Hotel first

This hotel is fine for $200 a night, but they capitalized on graduation weekend and charged $699 a night for a tiny room with two barely full sized beds. To say I was disappointed is a massive understatement. The rooms are tiny, the bathrooms are outdated and barely fit a tub and toilet, the coffee and toiletries are cheap, and the breakfast buffet was like a school cafeteria. If I could do it again, I’d drive 20 minutes and stay at a Marriott or a Hilton. Even the Villanova Inn was only $450 a night. They act like it’s a huge deal to get a room for graduation, and then deliver substandard quality. Plus the decor feels vintage in the worst possible way. Im not picky (I love camping) and for $200 a night, I’d never say a word. If they’re going to capitalize on supply and demand, they need to step it way up. Do yourselves a favor and stay somewhere else for graduation weekend.

Room tip: Avoid graduation weekend

Our company had a training event at the Radnor Hotel and it was flawless from start to finish. The staff were so easy to work with and the communication leading up to the event was excellent. The catered lunch got rave reviews!
I appreciated how they worked with us to ensure a wonderful day of training for our team members.

Thank you for the rave review, Lisa! We are pleased to read that your training event in our Ithan Room was a success and that the catered lunch from Triple Crown was also a hit. We look forward to hosting your team again in the future.

No restaurant. No breakfast. Just coffee, fruit, granola bars in morning. Our room was small with a tiny bathroom. No charm. Everyone was clean but the value wasn’t there for the price. I won’t be back. There’s better value at the chain hotels.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused by our restaurant renovations. We are working as quickly as possible to unveil a completely reimagined restaurant that will be worth the wait. In the meantime, we have the complimentary Coffee & Tea Station for early morning convenience, and we also have several restaurants and bars within walking distance, plus many more just 5 minutes away by car.

After checking out, I realized that I had left a sweater in my room. I emailed the hotel and received a phone call within the hour from a representative letting me know that the sweater was found and that arrangements would be made to have it sent to me. The next day, a manager called to let me know that the sweater was being sent by UPS using my credit card information. Both staff members could not have been more helpful. The hotel is comfortable and close to colleges, restaurants, shopping and activities. I will definitely stay there again on my next visit.
