The Hyatt Place in State College is my favorite “go-to” hotel whenever visiting Penn State. It’s new, clean and modern. Before the Hyatt was built, I always preferred staying at a hotel in town so we could walk everywhere but the existing hotels were quite old. Now that the Hyatt is there- I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Super convenient location and beautiful facility.

Hotel was clean top to bottom & the staff were excellent & the view was excellent & the location was great & the breakfast was excellent which made our stay excellent. Highly recommend this hotel for your needs.
Not as clean as it should be. One tiny bar of soap in the room. Limited staff at front desk and bar. The food staff and food was great. Meeting room was OK. Very few electrical outlets for plugging in computers.
I have stayed at many Hyatt’s and I prefer to stay at Hyatt’s when I travel, but the State College Hyatt was the worst experience I have ever had. The room was disgusting. The coffee mugs were dirty, the furniture was dirty, there was trash left in the dresser drawers from the previous guest and there was hair on the shower floor. There were dirt marks on the back of the desk chair and dried “boogers” on the window blind. It was awful. Even the TV remote was dirty with finger prints and some type of white substance. The desk lamp light flickered as well.
The hotel was Clean, the staff was polite and attentive and the location was perfect for walking to grab food and get to event we were in town for. Parking was across the street but the parking pass made it easy to get in and out.
This hotel is absolutely the best ever! The rooms are always clean, never have any issues with my stay. Check-in is simple/quick and the staff is extremely accommodating. The staff here is beyond amazing!!!!
