The motel was located conveniently next to a shopping complex and good for us who were new to the area.
It was nice to have complimentary breakfast and that we could make our own waffles.
The room was fine. Staff were friendly. There was a pool but we didn’t use it. The sound insulation was ok as the motel was just next to the highway. We had a nice stay.
I spent a significant amount on a king size room for two nights. The breakfast was marginal and very importantly to me they don’t make up the rooms or provide fresh linens each day. Unbelievable. If this is how they run their business they should advise you of the absent service.
Hampton Inn PM my fantastic place to stay if you‘re Needing be near the suburbs of Philadelphia, especially along the main line. Easy access to 476 highway, and many surrounding areas, bars, and restaurants. Serves free breakfast every morning and while basic, it’s not the same every day. Has an outdoor pool which was closed, but looks like they were opening it soon. When I come back to Philly to visit family, I’ll always consider staying here. It looks like they’re trying to renovate as well! Special shout-out to Mike S for his exceptional customer service and allow me to leave a little late after the checkout time.
The staff was very nice and the hotel was in a good area outside of Philadelphia with shopping and restaurants nearby, in fact it is next to a Ruby Tuesday. Breakfast is your typical Hampton Breakfast. Our room smelled like dirty feet. The room was quite small without a real closet but just hooks with a curtain over it. It did have a fridge and a microwave! They only service the room every other day. I was hoping a good cleaning after the first night may have freshened up the smell. I will not stay there again!
I am trying to find someone to help me cancel and refund my future reservation for Sunday 2/18 for one night. My daughter and I were supposed to come down for a very large soccer tournament and unfortunately we found out this afternoon the entire 3 day tournament was cancelled due to weather. The booking was made through Expedia and according to Expedia they need the hotel property to approve the refund since I am 2 days past the window of cancellation.
I called the hotel earlier today and spoke with AJ who said it wouldn't be a problem but the email request from Expedia hadn't come through yet. I called the hotel a couple of hours ago and spoke with the woman at the front desk who told me that it is not their policy, and it is Expedia's policy about refunding the money. She also told me the email was a denial for the refund from Expedia and there was nothing she could do.
I called Expedia and spent about 35 mins on the phone with them who had me on hold trying to talk to the hotel. The Expedia rep said that she was told only the manager could approve the request and she was not available until the next day. I asked her who she spoke with and said the front desk was quite rude, didn't give her name and hung up on her.
I then called the hotel again and spoke with the same woman, who again said the denial was from Expedia and there was nothing she could do. I asked to speak with the manager (who I found out her name is Annette), but the woman at the front desk said she was very busy. I said I would wait and she put me on hold. She then came back and said Annette denied the request for refund (totally different from all the stories conveyed today). I asked if I could please speak to Annette and the front desk woman said she was too busy to talk to me and I should call back tomorrow after 10am.
I know I am outside the window apparently by 2 days but I am still reaching out within 3 days of the stay. The event was cancelled which was out of our control. I am just kindly asking if the hotel can approve the refund with the cancellation. If whoever receives this can make an exception and help us out, I would really appreciate it. We are down here alot for soccer and would be happy to recommend the hotel to others.
