My wife and I stayed at the hotel from July 26th to 28th, 2024, to attend the Journey Concert. Upon check-in, we had to request our Diamond Bag to discover that there was no bottled water, and they did not offer to bring any despite having more available, then ran out again later that day. I had to buy water from a vending machine. They charged $42 per night for parking. Even though we are Diamond members, they did not waive or reduce the fees, even though we didn't move our car after checking in. When we returned to the room after the concert around 9 pm, hoping to order room service, we were informed that it had closed early and that if we wanted food, we would have to go to the bar to get it. We did so, and that's where we encountered the highlight of our stay, the bartender Alan, who was incredibly accommodating and entertaining. Besides Alan and the excellent facility, most workers, especially at breakfast, looked the other way, and one, in particular, rode the elevator with us and did not speak or even acknowledge anyone else was on the elevator. She did not like her job and customers. There is work to do here besides having a lovely facility; it still takes engaging and caring workers to fill in the kindness and professionalism and show customers they value kindness and professionalism. v/r, Dr. Ken King, Room 1716.
