New favorite but one gripe.....

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 9 Feb 2020
We liked the Drury so much that we booked twice in one week. We stopped in Pittsburgh midway traveling to Michigan and i'm so glad we found this gem. This hotel is clean, updated, quiet and comfortable. It was built in 2019 and it shows. The staff will go out of their way to make sure you are enjoying your stay. They are super friendly and helpful. Up until now I had never heard of the Drury Hotel chain but now I am looking for more in other states. For $99 a night, we had an amazing room both stays that was cozy, clean, quiet, comfortable and nicely appointed. The beds are super comfortable and the bathroom layout is perfect as well as the rainfall shower head.
They offer a free breakfast buffet as well as their daily "kickback" from 5:30-7 which you could honestly make your dinner. The food is average but hey its free! You could totally find something you like. Nachos, Hot Dogs, Baked Potatoes, Freshly Popped Popcorn, Salad, 2 kinds of Soup and a dinner item that gets changed nightly. One night it was grilled chicken tacos with all the fix-ins and the other night it was pulled pork sandwiches w/ baked beans. You get a free drink plus 2 more at less than a dollar each. The hard liquor is out of a pump and is not brand name, they have beer and the wine is Woodbridge brand but still....its practically FREE! My ONLY gripe and disappointment was that those 2 drinks get charged to your room and we were not told that. We stayed twice in a week on 2 separate occasions and both times being checked in, this information was not told to us. Consequently, we paid CASH for both of our last 2 drinks PLUS tipped the bartender on top of that. So to our surprise we checked out the following day and had a charge on our account that we were confused about. The first stay we had not noticed the extra charge because we had already anticipated charges for a bunch of items from their market Pantry that we had purchased. I think they should explain that to you when you check in for less confusion. I don't know if it was stated on the drink ticket in fine print but regardless, it should be disclosed when you check in. Other than that, I also feel the breakfast buffet ends a bit early than what we're used to. I think extending it to 10:30am would be awesome especially for those who are traveling and checking in super late. Just a suggestion. But honestly other than that, we will be back to the Drury and looking forward to staying again and again. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Husband and I stayed here last night as a birthday getaway. Hotel is beautiful and clean. Friendly staff. We didn’t get there for the 5pm kickback food, but enjoyed the sodas and popcorn. Breakfast this morning was great! Nice , big area and attentive staff. Manager Allen was busy seeing that everyone was taken care of. Great visit! Would come there again!

We had our daughter on a college visit to Robert Morris University and was more than happy with Drury. We brought our French bulldog along and they were so accommodating! Sometimes you go to a hotel that is pet friendly but they are not Super pet friendly.... Not the Drury they were amazing and had a wonderful outdoor area to take our frenchie potty. The included food reception and breakfast was really great, the pool and hot tub were wonderful but the staff was the best part! The night time staff and morning staff couldn’t have been nicer and efficient! I love people that know how to do their job!!!! Thank you Tracy-beyond accommodating! We are hoping our daughter decides on Robert Morris University just so we can stay at the Drury for the next four years! Thanks for a great stay!

The hotel was built in 2019 and shows that as the property is in very good condition. I stayed in the suite which has the bedroom separated by a door from the living are. Very helpful in my case since I get up earlier than she does. Bedroom is large, having a King Bed and a chair. The living area had room for a sofa, chair and desk. Outlets for your chargers are abundant. The bathroom is standard, but has the soap, shampoo and conditioner mounted on the shower wall.

Check in was fast and the clerk explained everything that the hotel has to offer.

They have a program called Kickback which begins at 5:30 and lasts until 7. You receive three tickets for drinks: first one free, second and third $0.75 each. My wife and I had three drinks each for a total of $3.00. Snacks are included but could actually make a meal. Some of the items offered are pasta, hot dogs, chili, soda and nachos. If you have children this could be quite a money saver. There is a hot breakfast and also popcorn available all day.

One of the best things about the hotel is it's location. It is about 10 minutes from the airport, and the same for the city. Across the highway is the Market District on Settler's Ridge. Featured are several restaurants, stores, a movie theater and a grocery store.

If you are visiting Pittsburgh this is the place to stay.

Room tip: Spend the extra for a suite, you won't regret it.

My daughter and I stayed there for a week while I was visiting family in Pittsburgh. From start to finish, it was a wonderful experience! We stayed in room 826. It was so quiet, we felt like we were only ones in the hotel, even though the hotel was full. The darkened curtains worked great, and I unplugged the nightstand clock, so the room was dark enough for sleeping. We always slept in past breakfast, but the kick back free dinner buffet was amazing! Soups, baked potato, tacos and salad was really nice. We took advantage of that for 3 nights.
The front desk people were so nice and had learned my name by the end of the week.
They even have a shuttle to take you locally shopping if needed.
So glad we decided to stay here. Thank you Drury Inn.

Returning from holidays in West Virginia, I faced an 8:30 AM flight back to Boston. Not wanting to get up at 4 AM to make the flight, we decided to book a hotel in Pittsburgh.

I rather randomly chose Drury, and we were terribly glad we did. The room seemed quite spacious (10’/3m ceiling),the staff was wonderful, and they provided food. Pleasant shuttle to the airport.

We routinely stay at another chain, but this may have to stop if there’s a nearby Drury.

Highly recommended.
