Eddie V's is a new restaurant in the Union Trust Building and it was my first time dinning at it. Dinning room is big with a few small private dinning areas separate from the main dinning room, The bar is separated from main dinning room by an all glass wine storage room. Wine list is very nice with a wide selection. Bar area was crowded , for a Monday, and had live music, a jazz trio, classy! The food was fantastic. I had the ahi tuna that was wrapped in seaweed an very lightly dipped in a tempura, it was garnished with red chilly pepper slices, baby bok chop and a kung pao sauce. I highly recommend as a side the crab fried rice, it was very tasty. A nice selection of raw oysters is offered on the menu. Service was very professional and knowledgeable. Hope to visit Eddie V's next time I am back in Pittsburgh.

Correctable problems.
Understaffed bar tenders trying to serve a large bar counter and about 5 servers in the large bar area, plus dining patrons in the main restaurant. Took over 10 minutes to get a drink in the bar area. Servers were standing around awaiting bar tenders to fill their drink orders. Friends arrived earlier than us yet we got our drinks before they did. They ordered something special so they waited a full 20 minutes.

Ridiculous wine prices. I will pay their hi $25 corkage and come out way ahead.

Loved the food and service we got in one of the semi-private areas. A lot quieter than the overcrowded noisy main dinning area.

Sole was one of the best pieces of fish I ever had. Good portions on salads and entrees.

We will return, but not so soon. Hopefully the newness and craziness will disparate, and staffing issues will be fixed.

Very lovely interior (classy), staff were very polite and attentive, food was amazing. I am a HUGE fan of lamb chops...and, by far, these were the best lamb chops that I have EVER had in my entire life! Sides were fantastic (wedge salad, scalloped potatoes, etc.) Nice wine list (all price ranges!) Add the "entertainment daily", and its a definite "must go"!

Very good fish and service. Loved the daily specials and the wine list has something for everyone. The surprise was live music and a very lively bar scene even on a week day night We will be back

Eddie V's is simply amazing! There is no other restaurant in Pittsburgh like it. The decor was stunning, the jazz music was fun, yet relaxing, and most importantly the food was out of this world! The staff was very friendly and attentive! Easily the best restaurant in Pittsburgh!
