I wanted to find an inexpensive place to stay for just one night. I wanted somplace close to the Oaks Ice Center where our grandson was playing in a tournament. This place seemed to fit the bill, other places were way too expensive for just one night, or had no onsite parking. I guess we should have realized it wasnt a real hotel so to speak, beacuse we were kind of worried when we pulled into the campus. We were greeted by a nice desk person who happened to be the father of the manager who worked part time. He let us check in at 10am. He also informed us our room had no TV, but he could get one if we wanted..we declined. Good things: Wireless was free, my daughter, staying in King of Prussia, had to pay $15 if they wanted wireless. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, close to Phoenixville and ice rink. We went out exploring, went to grandsons game (rink 3 miles away) and it was 9pm before we got home. So we didnt care if we had a TV or not. Quiet quiet place...no traffic just a pretty spot. Got up early and left at 7:30. Things normal people may care about... Two very small pillows, but Im sure we could have asked for more, lots of towels, but only one big one....no light overhead in shower. We are used to RVing so this was fine for us. If you are looking for regular hotel ammenities, its not for you. If you want a clean bed to sleep in, in a convenient place, its great. If I thought we would be back in the area again, I would def use it as a base spot. We didnt get to Valley Forge park, but it also was only about 3-4 miles away.

I have mixed feelings. I booked a room to sleep 7. We had 2 double beds and 4 twin beds. The air conditioning worked and we had a tv. We had decent wifi also. The beds were clean and mostly comfortable. The bad is that the bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned in months. The shower curtain had black mold and the shower itself was dirty. There is a sink, but no counter space at all. They need to post quiet hours also. It seems there were some sports teams staying there and these people, both kids, and adults, felt they could talk loudly at any hour. We were awakened on Saturday morning before 6 AM! The pool was warm but needed attention as there were a lot of leaves floating around. Would I stay again? Maybe. Staff was friendly.

We arrived on a Saturday and found the desk cleark to be super friendly and the room to be spotless.

Now the issues
No AC / thermostat locked coldest temp allowed 70 if it was working. We ended up sleeping with the windows open

Bed rock hard and noisy

No TV?

It’s a Christian retreat FYI wish they would show that on the website we booked through (booking.com)

My advice to management is fix some stuff AC lockout really? Accept that some customers want the room cold 68 etc and accept the running cost for that.

Put quality beds in the stuff your using is awfull if we were a 2 night stay or more we would have checked out and gone somewhere else.

And TV’s in the room please you could have it in some rooms and not others or make it a cart and an additional charge etc but communal TV is challenging.

I was so looking forward to staying here. It is set in a remote, peaceful location, minutes from Valley Forge Park. The exterior is beautiful. Our room was clean and my two daughters enjoyed having twin beds in our room. Upon arrival, there was no one at the desk. I called the "if no one is at the desk, call this number" number and no one picked up. A gentleman finally came in and had to track someone down to check me in. The fellow who checked me in was very pleasant, but could not answer most of my questions. Our room was clean, but the beds were unbelievably creaky and uncomfortable. My daughter's headboard clanked and rattled every time she moved. The towels were outside the bathroom, which was odd, and the bathroom had NO counter space. Later that night I went downstairs to the vending machine and was met by a pretty funky smell from the kitchen area. With a little updating, this could be a lovely place to stay. Unfortunately, I just can't leave a glowing review based on our experience.

Myself and 2 associates rented a 3 bedroom suite here through booking.com. When we arrived we were told we were in a different building, separate from the hotel. It was very strange in this area. There was a shared kitchen and groups of people. We called to complain there were no televisions in our room and the portable Air conditioning did not work. No one addressed our issues. I booked this well in advance as a business trip. We were NOT looking for a retreat. After complaining several times to the manager, by phone, because he did not work weekends. We were told this is not a hotel, but a Christian retreat. Then it should be advertised as such. Terrible customer service.

Needed a place to stay on our trip back home and wanted something for under $100. This place was perfect! Very quiet, not far from the Interstate, spacious rooms and very clean. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly. Trails to walk and very close to Valley Forge National Park. Even though it is described as a religious retreat, that didn't affect our stay there. Overall, a quiet place to spend the night and get up and go the next morning. Not all rooms have TV, but they have wifi, and if you're not used to hearing mumbled conversations from the next room, our room had a box fan which provided ambient noise.
