My son called it yogi bear woods when we turned off the road to the entrance. I had just driven an hour to a water park that ended up being closed bc the kids had gone back to school mid August in the states so we came to the state park and the nice man looking at me being really confused bc I’m used to driving the left in England let us in for free so the kids could swim. Onsite shop was over priced for a few snacks. Can rent boats but we didn’t ....next time.

I live in Newtown and was fortunate enough to live across
the street from Tyler Park. With the Neshaminy Creek running through it, they offer canoe and row boat rentals & fishing. They have several play area around the park for kids with play house and stuff to climb on and over. Plenty of well marked nature trails for gentle to moderate hiking (color foliage in November best). There is an archeological dig area (not well known) in the park and you could visit the range station near the north end of the park to see some of the stuff dug up there.

Fun family day in the park.

Another great state park. As in the title, so many things you can do. Entrances on two sides, great forest and trees, and also rolling country. Just outside of Newtown. Also not too far from a great covered bridge on Swamp Road just past the Community College.
