We enjoyed a very good meal here, Top tips - cash or cheque only, and bring your own bottle. We were advised of this when we reserved our table. The food was excellent, with much French flair. We started with the Escargots en croute, and the Trio of smoked fish, and followed with the Coquilles Saint-Jacques (scallops) and the crusted tuna. The mains and vegetable selections were well put together and very tasty. To finish, what else but the creme brulee - which did not disappoint. The service was helpful and entirely appropriate to fine cuisine. Very nice !!

This place is quiet, cozy, and full of French country rustic charm. If you go during the winter, be sure to ask for a seat next to one of the fireplaces. It's dimly lit which is perfect for a date. The food is very good - although I would stop short of saying it's off-the-charts. However, for what it claims to be - it's very good at. The host/hostess and waitresses are all terrific. I had the Lamb chops and they are every bit as good as the Lamb chops I had at other places in the area. Love the fact that it's BYOB - made a big difference as I really like my own wine and it also saves you a lot. Perfect Valentine's Day spot - what more can I say. I will be back in the warmer months to check out the outside courtyard and eat in the throes of bucolic and beautiful Bucks County.

On Monday we double dated at the Inn at Phillips Mill. It was a relaxing evening in a candle lit romantic setting.

The Inn is an old stone building, decorated in a country style: ladder backed chairs, woven wicker chairs and a large fireplace with a leather sofa. It's a linen tablecloths type of place.

They have a big menu and plenty of specials, but I tend to order the same dishes all the time. I was quite surprised my twin favorites of house salad and Dijon chicken were featured on the Monday/Tuesday three course $ 25.00 price fixed menu!

A house salad might sound boring, puts its sort of deconstructed with a very light dressing. The Dijon chicken was as good as ever. The meal ended with crime brullee, served in pig shaped porcelain dishes. The Inn is big on pig themed decor.

It's a BYO, which is another plus.

Are there negatives? Since it's popular on weekends, it can be difficult to make a reservation at the last minute, however they are open 7 days a week and most other days are easy to get in. They only do dinner, not lunch. They don't take credit cards, only cash and checks. These are mine t problems.

It's a favorite of ours. We keep coming back.

Been going to the Inn for special occasions for over 35 years! The atmosphere couldn't be more charming… it is Buck's County at its best. The food is always marvelous: especially the lamb and filet offerings. Each meal comes with a collection of vegetables that are always amazing, creative and delicious. Appetizer offers are stupendous: best escargot ever: especially when done in puff pastry. Desserts always a good ending for a wonderful dining experience. Wait staff is courteous, efficient and helpful. Outdoor dining in summer is a real plus!

We had a wonderful Sunday Evening dinner last night. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and seated quickly.
We took advantage of the “prix fixe” Menu for Restaurant Week. The 4 Course meals were well prepared and delicious. Our entrees included steak, pork and fish. Our server was very nice and friendly. Service was a little slow, but we were there for a leisurely dinner. It was so nice not to be rushed. We can’t wait to go back.
