She has ruined any fond memories of ANY BEST WESTERN WOULDNT EVEN STAY AT A DIFFERENT LOCATION. HORRIBLE
We have stayed there many times and were always satisfied with our stay. Nothing fancy but comfortable and decent for the rates. This past visit was quite discouraging.
The room area by the coffee bard and in the bathroom had a terrible sour smell. We even skipped our showers in the morning. Fortunately we only stayed one night.
The bathroom toilet was extremely slow in flushing. We found we were always concerned when we used it, afraid it wouldn’t flush. And we were on the first floor!
This was the last hotel I stayed in at the tail end of a long road trip. I booked through Hotwire because the prices around the Poconos area were outrageous. I managed to snag a room here for under $200. I don't think I've ever stayed in a Best Western so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised.
The man who checked me in was super friendly and helpful, so that started things off on the right foot. Although I could tell that the building was on the older side, my room was very cute and clean. I found it a little odd that the microwave and refrigerator, etc. were right outside the bathroom, but it was also nice having the refrigerator away from the main sleeping area because sometimes they run loud.
I have to give a shout-out to Mr. Shane's, the restaurant attached to the hotel. But I got a burger and fries from there and it was excellent. I think it was the most satisfying meal I had during my whole trip! And who doesn't get a kick out of the giant inflatable Mr. Shane out front?
Great stay at hotel, clean and kind staff, definitely improved by reopened bar/restaurant… awesome menu and terrific bartender Taylor who was kind and incredibly knowledgeable, made everyone in our party feel special
I have stayed here twice recently. The staff are all extremely friendly and check in and check out are a breeze. They have a pool, fitness center, bar/restaurant on site, plenty of vending machines, and a few "arcade games". The rooms are clean with a comfortable bed. The mini fridge I had in both rooms wobbled a lot, making it slightly annoying to open and close and there were some minor water spots on the celings but if those are the biggest complaint, I still count that as a win. There are also shops, a movie theater, and restaurants right around the corner and it's right off of the highway for convenience.
