We ordered room service from the front desk before heading out for the day, returned to keys deactivated had to go to the front to reactivate. At 1-2am got frightened awake by someone trying forcibly hard to open the door 3 separate times. On the 3rd time I looked through the peephole and saw a man standing in front of our door with a suitcase and a security guard on the walkie talkie.
Confused and frighten of what was going on thinking the worst we suddenly got a call from the front desk wondering why we were still in the room that we already checked out and our reservation was for 2 nights not 3. Explained to them on phone that our reservation says until September 1st but still wanted us downstairs. Did they expect to kick us out at 2am in the morning? Until a minute later they called back after that they found our reservation. Someone checked us out early that night. No apologies or accommodations for our awful night. Only told us a janitor was trying to open the door? Which is clearly not what I saw. Thankfully we had the door fully locked or could of been an awkward confrontation. The refrigerator is also awfully loud making weird sounds throughout the night making it harder to try to go back to sleep.
Our keys were deactivated again so we couldn’t fully leave the room until ready to check out. When we went to check out the front desk staff did not address what happened when we complained. Acted like she did not want to be bothered. Told us we could not receive a refund since booked through Groupon so was given a free breakfast for our lack of sleep.
