TLDR: Despite the lovely lobby, the hotel is dated and dirty, with many broken amenities or services.
Pros: The staff were lovely and understanding. They made my bed every day and brought clean towels without asking, which is rare in the post-COVID world. The Starbucks in the lobby is very convenient. The food in the bar is well portioned and tasty, with reasonable prices. The drinks are well prepared.
Cons: I moved rooms three times to get a clean one. The third room was still dusty, but at least there wasn't food and trash on the floor or in the bed. The furniture isn't aligned with the lighting, making the space difficult to use. It was easy to stumble and trip in the night because there are no light switches in the bedroom. The air conditioner was broken for the entire trip, leading to minimal external airflow. This, in turn, activated the fire strobes from shower and hairdryer steam. When I called the front desk to let them know about the strobes (and that it wasn't an emergency) they put me on hold before taking my information...odd choice. Luckily, I didn't open the door and set the whole building off, but it took hours for the room to clear up. There were multiple holes in drywall in the building and most of the plugs were non-functional, so bring a power extender if you stay here. The elevators were only working part of the time. The parking is atrocious- most of the spots are around the corner and up a steep hill- not ADA friendly.
