There are Better Choices!

Where to start....we stayed at Hyatt Place for a long weekend of shopping in mid-September. When we arrived I thought the lobby looked clean and updated and the lady working at the front desk was helpful. It was all downhill from there. We quickly discovered that there was one working elevator and judging from other reviews it's been this way for weeks. The working elevator was slow and did smell like weed as other reviews said. It didn't inspire confidence-please see my "emergency phone" sign picture. No need to enlarge the pic--that IS a crayon drawing of a phone taped to the elevator wall. The rooms were extremely dated and those which are handicap accessible have an odd layout. There was heavy staining in the bathroom and on the couch but the bed seemed ok. No USB or electric outlets on the night stands, the sink is outside of the actual bathroom and other little inconveniences. The halls are extremely worn and the lighting very dim.

The TV was so staticky you could barely use it the entire weekend and hot water was hit or miss. If you needed to call the front desk for anything such as thermostat not working, hair dryer not working, etc. good luck getting help. I asked the person working how to cast from your device and he had no clue-even though there is a channel you can go to which will allow you to cast from your device. I found it because my friend had flipped past when trying to find a channel clear enough to watch.

With as many hotel choices there are around the mall, there are many different and better choices. Do yourself a favor and pick another.

We are a touring musical act and had plenty of space to park tour bus with trailer and got all 5 of our rooms to us as soon as we walked in the door at 10am

Friendly staff at the front desk, great proximity to Valley Forge
The lobby atmosphere was good, the breakfast was generous, I loved the swivel T.V. and room cleanliness.

I would have given 5 stars but we found the pool to be cloudy and sudsy (both days), we didn't go in, There was only one working elevator that took forever and smelled like weed at night, oh and the maid didn't make up our room despite leaving at 10 am and being out the whole day with the DNS sign INSIDE the room, other than that, it was a very good stay.

Room tip: Pool was cloudy and sudsy.

Regarding your concerns, we want to assure you that we regularly test the pool, and the water quality consistently meets high standards, as our chemical system automatically maintains balance. However, we will review the pool's usage, especially during weekends, to ensure it's always in pristine condition.

As for the elevator, we're actively working on repairs, but it takes some time to source the necessary parts. We appreciate your understanding and patience.

Generally OK experience. There was 1 working elevator. Staff did not monitor the floors and allowed guests to leave soiled diaper trash in the hallway for almost 24 hours.

could be better no hot water on the 2nd floor and staff was nasty. People smoking pot on my floor and only one elevator working spent 237.00 dollars and got this won't be back to this hotel

I would like to clarify that there were no issues with hot water in any rooms or on any floors during the time of your stay. If there were specific concerns, we would have appreciated the opportunity to address them immediately.

It is unfortunate that some guests did not adhere to our strict non-smoking policy. We strive to maintain a comfortable environment for all our guests, and we wish we had been made aware of this issue as it was occurring so that we could have taken appropriate action, including evicting the guests responsible.
