Overall decent

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 17 Feb 2020via mobile
The hotel was clean. It has a convenient location across from the mall and near local highways. There’s also no shortage of restaurants near by from fast food to sit down. The hotel breakfast buffet is much nicer on the weekend than the typical hotel breakfast. Most of the staff was friendly except the waitress/hostess we had for dinner one night at the hotel restaurant.

We've stayed here a couple of times over the last few years and the rooms and lobby are improved from previous visits, but other areas show that they are worn and still in need of improvement. The staff is really friendly and helpful. I'd recommend the hotel, just be aware that the rooms are nicer than the hallways!

My room was immaculate, well lit, beautifully appointed and quite comfortable. I’ll be making a return business trip in January and plan to stay here again. The bed was great. I forgot to take photos.
The restaurant in the hotel was fine. Decent service and food. Not outstanding, but solid.

Stayed here overnight after a long day of shopping at the mall across the street. Conveniently located. Hotel is in good shape, lobby is nice, could use a bit of upgrading in the hallways where the rugs are worn. The room was clean, however the mattress was very uncomfortable. But for one night I can't complain for the price. I payed for the buffet breakfast for me and my wife, and kids are free. Was worth it because it was not crowded like other hotels were its free and you can't move. For $20 4 of us ate and were stuffed. We got 2 complementary drinks at the bar for being a club member which was nice. I'd stay again.

Check in was very easy. The lobby was very
clean and crisp. We got into the elevator and as soon as we stepped out onto the second floor the first thing you notice is how filthy the carpet is. I don’t just mean wear and tear. I mean debris, candy wrappers, an old q tip and glasses and trays from room service. A glass and candy wrapper remained outside of our room the entire weekend. Not to mention everything else on the carpet. I was scared to open the door to our room after seeing the hallway. It was like walking into another world. The room is updated, very clean and modern. Such a contrast from the hallway to the inside of the room. I stay in very high end hotels like Hotel Hershey etc. To see the hallway like that was disappointing.
The only other comment about cleaning is that the staff seem to be doing rooms into the early evening. I found this a little odd and also that being there that long you would think they would clean the hallway.
Room service for breakfast was delicious! Again loved the room and food. Hallway left a lot to be desired.

We were there on a planned trip with our church. 2 bus fulls 2nd time going here with them. Check in was smooth. Rooms were okay. Bathroom was small and the walls were dirty. The shower had no door or curtain just a half glass wall. 2nd floor Walls are thin and you can hear all the noise. A hockey team of kids were staying there and playing a game of hockey loudly in the walls. Our church group complained but the kids were still there. Parents no where to be found. I ended up going out myself and telling them to knock the noise out and play outside. We heard doors opening and slamming all weekend. Several guests in our group including us were charged for bar and food items that we never signed off on so had to talk to management to get charges removed. Next year we are staying somewhere else.

    Hello Divaprincess2,

Thank you for sharing your feedback.

Here at the Crowne Plaza we want our guests to be recharged and inspired during and after their stay as we know how important a good night’s sleep is. It’s the fuel that powers your day. Unfortunately, during your stay this does not seem to be the case. You mentioned specifically mentioned the level of noise and questionable additions to your bill that affected your stay. Hotel Management has taken note of your concerns and has forwarded it to our maintenance and front desk teams. Despite this, we are happy to know that your check in went smoothly and the rooms to have suited your needs.

As we strive to continuously achieve high-quality standards, deliver guest satisfaction and serve traveler's needs, your comments are instrumental and valued. We hope to host your party in the future should you give us another chance to be your hotel of choice.
