Mouse in the Room!

1.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 23 Feb 2022
To summarize: We stayed at this property in mid-January for a competition at the neighboring hotel. On Friday evening, there was a MOUSE in the room. We were moved down the hall, which was also problematic, and then to a third room.

When I checked at the desk on Saturday morning to see if an exterminator had been called, I was told that housekeeping had taken care of it. In addition, our room was never serviced, and we stayed for two nights.

When I detailed this issue on my Marriott survey, they have yet to respond in any manner and my status is Titanium Elite. This is why I prefer Hilton properties.

Whether staying in the U.S. or abroad, I have NEVER encountered a MOUSE in the room. My guess is that he/she and his family still reside there.

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn on the King of Prussia mall property on Friday night. It’s incredibly convenient is you are planning a shopping and dinner trip to the mall like we did. It’s literally across the parking lot from Macy’s. As if that isn’t good enough, the hotel backs onto the Costco property. For shoppers like us, the location is golden!

The hotel looks pretty new and well maintained. We checked in online, so lots of stuff was done ahead of time for us. No need to hand over a credit card. It’s on file. As titanium members, they know our gift preferences.

The room was good. It was quiet. We had a good night’s sleep, had breakfast and headed out shortly after 7:00 AM.

Are there negatives? Yes, but they were minor. It looks like the bathroom was mopped, but didn’t get towards the back of the toilet. I think the bath gel pump bottle was empty. The shampoo and conditioner bottles were fine.

Overall, there is a lot to like. The price is very fair. There’s plenty of parking. We would return.

I am currently staying here for business and need to sleep. Needless to say the walls are paper thin and i can hear all sorts of conversations and people coming and going. I will not be staying here again. I called the front desk and they offered to move my room. At this point it is too late in the evening and I am not sure elsewhere would be better. Another concern would be of the guests as people can come and go since front desk was left unattended when I returned this evening from my business dinner around 10:15 PM.

Stayed here for a night during a business trip as it was located close to my work function. It’s an older hotel really nothing special it did appear clean and on point for a quick check in. No bar or anything like that perhaps because of the locale to a lot of close eatery’s and watering holes

We stayed at the Fairfield In. At the King of Prussia mall on Friday night. It was a good experience. We would return.

The hotel is modern and clean. The staff is friendly. The rooms look updated and are clean. The bathroom is great. It has a walk I. Shower and plenty of towels.

The ice machine was right down the hall, useful for chilling wine in the ice bucket in the room.

The room had a coffee maker, a microwave and a refrigerator. Very handy.

    Overall, the room was quiet.

Are there negatives? Yes, but they are minor. There was a connecting door to the next hotel room. That’s likely not very soundproof as the arguing voices at 2:30 AM demonstrated. That’s not the hotel’s fault. The room comes with disposable plastic glasses, not glass ones. However, I think this has been standard across the Fairfield Inn brand.

    We had a good experience.

This was my second stay as I was visiting from Florida and had several friends in the area. I stayed here six years ago and it was pleasant then and pleasant now. I am sad to see some of the negative reviews as I did not have a negative experience at all. My room was clean and the bed extremely comfortable. As an exhausted traveler and Marriott Rewards member I was given a late checkout and realized upon checking out I couldn't find the key fob to my rental car. Liz at the desk phoned up to my room and Liz in housekeeping located the fob and brought it down to the lobby. Go Team Liz! I didn't take advantage of the breakfast but in my travels I have experienced the majority of the 'Grab and Go" type breakfasts have replaced the buffets due to Covid. I had absolutely no negative issues with this hotel and will stay there the next time I am in the area.
