Average hotel at a decent price

3.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 12 Nov 2021via mobile
Stayed here for a night during a business trip as it was located close to my work function. It’s an older hotel really nothing special it did appear clean and on point for a quick check in. No bar or anything like that perhaps because of the locale to a lot of close eatery’s and watering holes

We stayed at the Fairfield In. At the King of Prussia mall on Friday night. It was a good experience. We would return.

The hotel is modern and clean. The staff is friendly. The rooms look updated and are clean. The bathroom is great. It has a walk I. Shower and plenty of towels.

The ice machine was right down the hall, useful for chilling wine in the ice bucket in the room.

The room had a coffee maker, a microwave and a refrigerator. Very handy.

    Overall, the room was quiet.

Are there negatives? Yes, but they are minor. There was a connecting door to the next hotel room. That’s likely not very soundproof as the arguing voices at 2:30 AM demonstrated. That’s not the hotel’s fault. The room comes with disposable plastic glasses, not glass ones. However, I think this has been standard across the Fairfield Inn brand.

    We had a good experience.

This was my second stay as I was visiting from Florida and had several friends in the area. I stayed here six years ago and it was pleasant then and pleasant now. I am sad to see some of the negative reviews as I did not have a negative experience at all. My room was clean and the bed extremely comfortable. As an exhausted traveler and Marriott Rewards member I was given a late checkout and realized upon checking out I couldn't find the key fob to my rental car. Liz at the desk phoned up to my room and Liz in housekeeping located the fob and brought it down to the lobby. Go Team Liz! I didn't take advantage of the breakfast but in my travels I have experienced the majority of the 'Grab and Go" type breakfasts have replaced the buffets due to Covid. I had absolutely no negative issues with this hotel and will stay there the next time I am in the area.

First of all, this place hasn’t been touched since the 90’s. Brown carpet and bright yellow paint awaits you as you walk in. All night kids ran up and down the hallway knocking on doors. Just after midnight; a ball hit my sliding door waking up all of us. Then, after getting back to sleep, at 9:10am housekeeping slams on the door and enters the unit. This is the worst place ever. Run, do not walk from this sh** hole.

    0wasdaddy0,

Thank you for the feedback, the hotel has been recently updated, I am not sure what you are referring to in regards to the hotel not be renovated since the 90's. We do not have paint on our walls, we have wall paper which is a gold color. If you would like to discuss your stay further please contact the General Manger directly at 610-337-0700.

Would not stay here again. Staff indifferent online room requests not honored. Not welcomed in lobby or thanked for stay. Hotel hallways very noisy. Noise all night long, unable to get a good nights sleep. Ceiling in bathroom with multiple water stains. Coffee empty multiple trips in morning. Poor options for breakfast. Other chains have come up with ways to offer a balanced quick grab breakfast during a pandemic.

We booked Fairfield a couple weeks ago, and upon check-in, they told us they were overbooked and sent us next-door to the Crowne Plaza. We figured it was a fluke.
So stupid us - we booked here again! We called 3 days prior to checkin to specify we do NOT want to go to crowne plaza! We were assured it wouldn’t happen.
    Surprise!
So there we are at check in and they send us to the Crowne Plaza! 2 families came in and were sent to crowne plaza despite reserving Fairfield . Someone said that the two hotels have an operation going where the Marriott Fairfield overbooks, Blames it on Covid, and sends guests to crowne plaza.
If we wanted to stay at the Crowne Plaza, we would’ve booked it!
    Never again at either property!
