They Don't Care

1.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 25 May 2024
I was there for 5 days. My room was never cleaned once.

One of the girls who gives out the $25 pieces of junk on Fridays asked me to buy her perfume. Are they all prostitutes there?

It's pitiful. Bethlehem and Morgantown are 30 minutes away. The slots have the lowest payouts of all PA casinos. Keep driving.

Honestly, I was nervous based on some of the reviews, but there was no reason for me to be worried at all. Everything from the room to the casino to the food were all perfectly fine. I was in the area for a conference and chose to stay here since I'm a fan of the Boyd properties in Downtown Las Vegas. I booked a standard room but was surprised with an upgrade to a mini suite that had a living area, the bedroom, and the bathroom. I was in the Casino Tower. The hotel does have an odd design with some rooms being interior only - meaning they don't have windows. I think if I were to have received one of those I would have asked for a different room, but luckily I wasn't. The casino isn't huge, but it's big enough to have a few dozen table games and hundreds of slots. There is also bar top video poker where the drinks come fast and furious. There were some reviews that mentioned the smokiness -- and yes, there are lots of folks smoking, so if that bothers you, just a heads up. I walked around the property and they're getting the pool area ready for the summer and that looked like a lot of fun. I would consider bringing my family here for a few nights to take advantage of some of the Valley Forge historical locations as well as hang out by the pool. The food court was open and the food was good. Dunkin' was ready to go in the morning when I needed to grab a cup of coffee before I headed out to my conference. All in all, I was very happy with my stay here and I would return.

Room tip: If having no windows in your room would bother you, make sure you ensure you don't have an "interior room."

The best part of the trip was the helpfulness of the staff. One of the night shift staff went way out of their way to make sure Ifound the correct meeting room so Iwould not be late. Check in was smooth, although I had to do that a bit early to stay within meeting times. The room had no problems, and the food at the meeting was quite good.

Room tip: Map of facilities quite good. But it took a while to determine that the Grand Ballroom partitions into north and south ballrooms.

We checked in on Friday on the Stardust Hotel side Room 914. For the OES Seminar Weekend. The room was dirty, carpets needed to be cleaned and sanitized. More outlets for devices. Lamps old and painting off at the touch. Television in disrepair. Updates of amenities and services and the rooms definitely need to be updated and cleaned for the price and the money our organization drops twice a year.
The banquet cooks need to fired for the bad food that was served. All in all it was a horrible visit, we will have to see if we will be back.

After booking I checked this site to see what people were saying. Oops! Well they must not have had an updated room. They were clean, super huge and mattresses pillows etc were great! Dinner at the chophouse was fabulous too. The casino was not crowded at all for a weekend.

This hotel is just yucky. We stayed for 2 nights because it was our college son’s family weekend nearby & we figured it would be a little different. It’s so old, ugly & outdated. The room was clean but the vanity lights didn’t work, the mattress was sunken & lumpy, the shower had no water pressure, & you couldn’t adjust the thermostat to make the room cooler & it was so hot we couldn’t sleep. There was no housekeeping at all. I’m so tired of hotels saying they have eliminated housekeeping to be environmentally friendly, when it’s really because they’re just trying to cut corners & give you less for your money. If I’m paying $200 a night, give me dry towels. Meanwhile the toilet in our room ran nonstop for the entire 3 days, so please don’t virtue-signal to me about caring for the environment.

We couldn’t stand the casino for more than 20 minutes because the smoke smell was so bad. The only food we bought at the hotel was coffee from the Dunkin’ Donuts in the food court & even THAT was undrinkable, much weaker than usual Dunkin’ coffee. I recommend staying away from this place altogether.
