We eat here every snow season, it’s reliable not cheap but nothing in the village is.

Recommend the chicken schnitzel, the side salad is delicious.

Some of the bar staff lack personality, however there we some excellent staff on the food side.

There is phone charging batteries available to hire which was helpful.

This was the first year we didn’t need to wait for a table.

A great place especially on a sunny day on the deck for lunch or dinner. Reasonable value for money.

Located in the middle of the Thredbo village, The Local Pub was a great spot to stop by for a meal and a drink. The crackling fireplace kept the area warm and created a welcoming atmosphere.
We ate there over 2 nights and enjoyed burgers, nachos, chicken wings and fries, while sipping on Kosciuszko pale ale. The food was reasonably priced for the area, and all portions were large. Being one of the only eateries in the area open this time of year, it did get busy for dinner around 6:30pm we found, so may be best to book a table for larger groups.
The fairy lights in the beer garden were enchanting and the view across the mountains created a great backdrop for an enjoyable evening out.

I have eaten here before with mixed success. No success again this time.... Nachos served in a cardboard box and the tiniest serve of chips for $9. I don't mind expensive if it's half decent, but not like this. Poor form Thredbo!

Venue is nice with a large outdoor deck., staff were pleasant. Food was very basic and expensive for what you got. Beer battered fish was frozen packet fish for $27, chips were nice but never got the peas which were included on the menu, Southern fried chix burger $26 was average and the Burrito bowl with chilli con carne $32 was served cold with about 6 corn chips!! Very expensive, not worth the price and a 10% surcharge for sunday which we didn't mind paying but definetely would not eat there again.
