VILLA

We stayed for 6 nights in a Botanica villa. My request for a villa as close as possible to the beach was met, given that I hadn’t paid to upgrade to a Dunal villa. Next time though, I think I would, just because the sound of the surf and the ocean breezes are such a highlight. We still benefited though in the villa we were allocated. The quality of vills spec is great and I honestly love the semi industrial look of them.
The villas afford privacy, but the biggest risk one takes with staying here, as some other reviewers have noted, is that this is a venue that hosts events and as resident guests seeking tranquility, that can come as a surprise. There is definitely a cashed up bogan factor here - and it’s not even age specific. I don’t care if I sound like a snob. It’s more that people are generally becoming more selfish and inconsiderate at all ages now and just don’t care about the impact they have on anyone else. The staff do care though, and when one of our evenings was significantly impacted, staff really did try to help and compensate in order to ensure that we still felt valued. No place is perfect and gets everything right all the time, nor can they always anticipate every need or whim but staff at Elements, and their General Manager, Michael, absolutely demonstrated their professionalism and care in how well and quickly they responded to the concerns I raised. We will absolutely be returning to Elements just on this basis alone, because it’s actually pretty rare.

AZURE RESTAURANT & SUMMERSALT (adults only pool)

We dined 4 times during our stay at Azure (1 lunch and 3 dinners) and fell in love with the Crudo and Seafood Spaghetti (sauce is soooooo good you want to lick the plate😁) to the extent that we ordered this three times during our stay.
Nico is an absolute delight and gave us amazing service. We were so impressed by all staff, but he stood out because he took such genuine interest and care.

The adults only pool was a bit of an oasis, and though predictably busy on a Saturday afternoon, was otherwise chilled. The frozen margies are the best adult slushy ever and far too moreish!

SPA

Divine treatments and amazing staff. Our thanks to Sophie, Tiffany & Noriko for making this so special.

The direct beach access and walking trails on the property are also amazing. The Solar train is very sweet too.

We actually cancelled a holiday in Bali to stay at Elements instead, and I’m glad we did. Look, it’s rare for somewhere to tick every single box, and even at this price point, what you are getting is pretty damn amazing. Even super high end places can disappoint. In fact, I would say that from my experience, when I have spent more than $800-$1000 a night, I have generally not had expectations met and felt that the all inclusive type of resorts encourage gluttony! For me, it’s quality over quantity, and I’d rather have great food and drink at Elements than over drink and eat somewhere else.
