Peaceful, relaxing and handy

Review of Byron Haven
4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 20 Jul 2015
The whole experience was top notch.
Easy booking, friendly welcome, and felt like a million miles away but within easy walking to the beach and CBD.
Basic kitchen and bathroom but priced accordingly.
The main selling point for me was being pet friendly, but would definitely stay again even without the pets.
Came with free wifi but I didn't use it as I was busy doing other things.
Ample parking at the rear of the property, The Byron Markets were only two blocks away and can be accessed along the walkway from the car parking.
Date of stay: July 2015
Room Tip: My room was level access, the units with verandahs looking out to nature land at the rear of the...

We loved our stay at Byron Haven. Beautiful polished wooden floors, comfy bed and very clean throughout. Best of all our Miniature Schnauzer, ROY was made very welcome and we all relaxed and enjoyed beautiful Byron. Walking distance to town, cafes, and the great beaches. Perfect. Thanks very much Paddy! We'll be back.

Room tip: PET friendly.....they can accommodate a small dog!

Very clean, close to everything, quiet, a great break and private, weather was actually super and my hire bike made it all so much more convenient.

Thank you Paddy, felt like a home away from home.

We arrived late into Byron Bay, and we're having difficulty finding a place to stay, so the tourist office recommended a stay in one of these cabins.

Location wise they are about ten minutes walk to the main strip. They are very basic, but also spotlessly clean. I can't really fault them, and they are a good budget option.

Wow! What a perfect place. We stayed here on our first rd trip with bub and it had everything we needed. Comfortable, clean, quiet and private. Short stroll from Byron CBD and a great base to explore the surrounds. The price made it excellent value for money. Beautiful memories created sitting on your own deck having morning breakfast whilst listening to the birds in the wetlands literally opposite the property. If I was really picky, I would say textiles were a bit too clashy for me. Some nice neutral curtains and calmer 'beachy' bed spreads would do the cabin more justice. In saying that though, bub loved having tummy time on the bed, exploring the big bright patterned sheets!

What a fantastic little find this was, I stayed in one room and my friend in the room opposite. It's pretty much like a cabin with an open plan living/bedroom area, equipped with ensuite & small sink area - it really is all you need for a stay in Byron. Good for couples or couples and a child or singles.

Great value for money, we got fresh towels daily and were never disturbed. The cabins back onto a quiet road which is next to the lake but has an abundance of trees so you get to hear the odd kookaburra and other local bird sounds which is really lovely and peaceful as it's away from the main road.

It's a short walk into town and just a couple of roads away from the beach.

I would strongly recommend this place for anyone looking for comfortable accommodation on a budget.

(Don't recommend this place for loud party animals though, sorry!)
