Lakeside was a nice cabin. It had all you need for a base to explore from. It needed a bit of TLC though as the bathroom was a bit dated and had loose tap and loo seat, but hot water powerful shower and did what it needed to.
The venue was great. There is only one lake fishable, although failed to catch, but our son learnt the skills needed to fish. The view, peace and bird life is wonderful. To sit on a evening over looking the pond up to the hills above made all the stresses of life lift.
A brief walk down to a great beach, many rocks pools, wonderful coves and great bar.
The walk into Looe is very manageable and even with a seven year old in toe we had no moans. Looe itself is a great little seaside town albeit busy. Many places to eat and a stroll around is nice, almost feels like you are abroad.
A great short break away, ignoring the rough edges it is a lovely place to stay.
