This has got to be our favourite hotel in the chain, and we stay in a lot of Premier Inns all around the country. The car park is ample, the staff are always friendly and helpful and best of all, you get towel crabs made for you by the room cleaners! Five star service.

We always have a good night sleep in this hotel - the beds are among the best in the chain and it's nice to have such a large, airy room, sometimes with a sea view. We didn't eat in the attached restaurant at all so can't comment on that, but when we have in the past it's been fine for breakfast but only average for dinner.

There are plenty of other options only a couple of miles away though - Holmbush Fish and Chip bar is excellent, as is Prezzo in St Austell. There is a Frankie and Benny's next to Prezzo and McDonalds, Dominos and KFC in St Austell itself if you are in a hurry. There's a large ASDA (cheapest for fuel in the area) and Tesco - this hotel really is excellent in terms of its location. Only a few minutes away from the Eden Project as well - what more could you want?!

I stay in a few premier inns but upto now this has the most spectacular views..From the restaurant attached to your bedroom..Its set in St.Austell & it is a very beautiful town with very quaint & quirky shops aswell as your usual bigger name shops..the room was again of very high standard & the restaurant was busy but very clean & tidy & the staff were awesome..The food was of very high standard & was really scrumptious...if you want it as a stopover then I really do recommend this premier inn

We stayed at the Premier Inn for a few nights, booking a twin room. It was a bit disappointing as when we booked a twin room we expected two beds, whereas we were given one bed and a futon. This is the twin room on offer here at this location - so be aware.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, the room was nice and clean. Spacious, well kept and came with all the usual amenities. You can get an Iron & Board from the front desk. WiFi is pretty good, and the TV has the usual 'Freeview' selection.
One of the other let downs we found was the noise level. The floors are really creaky, and noise from other residents travelled - not sure if it was just on the ground floor where we were staying. If you're a light sleeper, the ground floor rooms may not be for you!

The location is a little out of the way, there's a restaurant on site, but to go to any others you'll really need to drive as it's right on the outskirts of St Austell. Free parking and plenty of spaces in the hotel.

Overall I think this hotel is good for a night or two, or for families with children. But for us, it was just ok. The noise and lack of a second proper bed was a bit of a let down.

We came to see Eden and Heligan like most people and used this as a base. We know the Premier Inn product and it is a good standard that gives us what we want. This place lives up to the billing as it is easy to find, plenty of parking and all the Premier Inn plus-points. We were there three nights and the staff were unfailingly helpful and cheerful.
The big downside is that the floors creak badly. Something went wrong in the construction process and the corridors and room floors squeak at every step. It is impossible to walk quietly and you'll hear everyone passing. On the ground floor you hear every step made in the room upstairs. If I was coming back to the area I'd think twice about coming here just for that reason.

Room Tip: You could try upstairs?

Excellent service, excellent location close to many of Cornwalls best attractions. Great food & an excellent nights sleep definitely guaranteed! We would most definitely come here again in the future.
