“Dangerous Stairs”
Reviewed 2 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We have jut came back from staying at this property. It is in a great location but no parking! Everyday you have to wait till a space becomes available at the car park over the road. The stairs are very dangerous at this cottage, No hand rail, all open plan. Do not comply with Health and safety standards. No working TV and no Microwave. I was very disappointed with this property. When I returned after booking it through booking.com I voiced my concerns to the vendor and I did not get a very nice response.

We are sorry about your concern re the stairs. We have recently added a handrail and although whilst we appreciate that the stairs are steep they do confirm to standards and we do have full pictures on our website and description on our websites with warnings. Unfortunately because there is free parking so it does get busy during peak times. I

“Ideally situated,clean and comfy cottage”
Reviewed 18 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

The cottage is ideally situated and there is plenty to do.Both Heligan and Eden a very short distance.Pub and Tea shops on the doorstep and small beach 3 minutes away, sadly no dogs on beach,as I traveled with my 4 legged companion.I was thankful for the WiFi as there is no Live TV,although a few DVD's are provided.I had very peaceful and relaxing stay at Isolde and would definately return. The cottage looks just as it does in the photos! The people in the village are very friendly.....the weather was great, only one grey day,all in all a very nice holiday.

Thank you for your review. We have now added "live" TV for our guests. There is a lovely valley walk by the river just next door and the beach does allow dogs "off" season. I am so glad the weather was kind and indeed the locals are very helpful. We hope to welcome back again. :-)

“Shabby chic, 3mins walk from the beach - great cottage”
Reviewed 16 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

Family of 4 happily accommodated in this high finish property. Near by pub and beach are fab only a few miles from Eden project and mevagissy 2 miles away. My only concern is the stairs have no bannister or spindles & with young kids you tend to take your heart in your mouth every time they ascend. The second bedroom is a pull out day bed - fine for kids and no basic TV though good wifi and we have sky go. It's a lovely high end well equipped cottage and we will be returning.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay and will be returning. We are aware the stairs are steep and we have put in a traditional style handrail. We are concerned about the safety of our guests and that is why we do not except children under 6 at this property and advise guests off the steep stairs. You will be pleased to know that we are constantly updating and improving our facilities and now offer Freeview TV, a microwave and have recently purchased a new bed for the main bedroom. We look forwaard to seeing you again soon. :-)

This delightful cottage is in a charming littel village and just 5 mins walk from an amazing beach. The cottage was comfortable, well-appointed and managed by friendly, helpful locals. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay.

“A beautiful little cottage in a charming coastal village”
Reviewed 11 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Cottage was pretty, spotless and well equipped in an excellent spot in a friendly village that had everything you could need within easy level walking distance. It was a little unplugged from mobiles etc for teenagers but the amazing beach with loads of water sports and beach front bar at the adjacent campsite more than made up for it. Eden project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and much more is all nearby and we had a fantastic time here and all wished we had longer here.
