“Great Stay”
Reviewed 3 July 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Booked a stay here in early May to beat the main bank holiday rush. Have to say its a lovely location, back off the main road and a mere 100 yards or so from the beach and the few shops and eateries. The flat is spacious and well presented with everything you need, including a dishwasher. Having read the previous review I have to add that the bedroom window did open albeit a bit tight and in need of WD40. The en suite I agree is small but handy for use during the night rather than disturb others sleeping!. The bathroom perfectly adequate for holiday use and no different than holiday hotel standards elsewhere. We found ample electric plugs for our needs ( I come away to get away from i-pads, phones etc ), although I have to say there did appear to be a black spot for mobile reception so the laptop was needed!. There is a private heated pool for use with enough sun loungers. Used the nearby Merrymoor Inn for meals and highly recommend it All in all a great stay and fully intend to return with our Grandson in the near future

Thank you for your positive review of 2 Europa Court.

We are pleased you found the apartment comfortable and well located for the local amenities and the beach. The Owner has worked hard to make guests welcome and she is always looking at ways to improve the standard of the apartment.

We look forward to seeing you again in the future.

Kind regards,

“Good value, a bit of a squash & a squeeze!”
Reviewed 19 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

2 Europa court is great value accommodation in a beautiful and laid back location of Cornwall. Great exploring location for Newquay, padstow and further afield day trips like St Ives.
My family is made up of me and my husband and our 2 year old and if we had been any bigger family I think we would have struggled for space in this accommodation.
The apartment is well maintained and nicely, newly decorated throughout making for a lovely beach feel. The main bathroom is compact and we couldn't really use the en suite as it is so tiny! You can't spit your toothpaste out in to the bowl as it is so small you miss it! That space would have been much better used as wardrobe space as we struggled with where to put clothes as no hanging space in the main bedroom, we managed though, it didn't take away from our experience just a little bug bear.
The blinds were an issue in the main bedroom as they don't block out any light at all so we were woken very early by the light each morning but some people like that so it depends on you really! There didn't appear to be any window keys for the bedroom window so we couldn't air it. We used the dehuminifier as lots of condensation was forming and the duvet covers felt damp. The dehuminifier fixed the problem but we really would have liked to have aired the room by opening the window. There is a small amount of mould on wall in master bedroom which is quite off putting. Not sure but I have a feeling locked windows with no keys is a fire hazard. The blind cords don't seem to comply with child safety either so I just tucked them up out of the way. Total lack of plug sockets which was an irritant. What with phone chargers, iPad chargers, baby monitor, hair straighteners. None by the beds and just one near the dressing table. Guess we are just used to more convenience. Comfy beds!
Apartment stocked with everything you need, and tea and coffee and milk left for arrival which was nice. Free parking all week which is also a bonus. Large TV with comfy sofas which is so often overlooked in self catering apartments. When you have babies you still need this as at night times you are staying in! The week we visited is slightly out of season but there didn't seem to be anyone around at all with young children. There is a grass area that the patio doors open on to but it is not private and the info book says not to have young children running around outside so that was a bit disappointing. We would have liked to have had a bbq but don't think you are able to. A couple of sun loungers would be a welcome addition! We didn't venture in to the pool as a bit cold for us at this time of year but seems to be well looked after. The block seems to be mainly older people, not holiday rentals.
Very good location to the beach and village shop and lovely restaurant called "off the beach" . We were looking for a good value break that was comfortable and modern and this accommodation provided that in lovely surroundings.

Thank you for your review of 2 Europa Court.

We feel the following observations you have made are not accurate:

The apartment is quite suitable and comfortable enough for four adults and as you were a party of two adults and one child we feel this property was adequate for your stay.

The master bedroom en suite wash hand basin is perfectly large enough for washing and brushing teeth so your comment is not valid in this instance.

You have said the windows did not open and there were no keys available but these were left on the key hook clearly marked window keys alongside the patio door keys. If you could not find the keys you should have contacted the Housekeeper who would have informed you where they were. Therefore we feel this is not a valid point to make.

Your point that there was nowhere to hang your clothes is incorrect as you could have used the wardrobe in the twin bedroom.

With regard to your point that Europa Court seems to be for older people this is totally incorrect as most of the apartments are used for holiday letting.

With regard to your points on the blinds this is being looked into by the Housekeeper and we will have the cords shortened and ties placed by the blinds to hold the cords securely.

We are going to look into further electric sockets although we feel there are sufficient in the property.

We will ask the Housekeeper to provide sun loungers for future guests.

The very small patch of mould on the master bedroom wall is due to an external guttering issue which is being looked into and the problem will be rectified shortly.

We will ask the Owner to provide blackout blinds to the two bedrooms.

This is the first year we have marketed this property and we are pleased you liked the property overall, the location and the price and we look forward to seeing you again next year to see that these points have been attended to.

Kind regards,
