We're just back from a one-night stay at The Cormorant. I was quite worried after reading reviews, but can safely confirm we had nothing to fret over!
We had a double room with a queen-sized bed, with en-suite (bath & overhead shower), a couple of chairs and tea & coffee making facilities - there were homemade cookies too, which was a lovely touch. Staff were accommodating of our early arrival and friendly, including the lovely lady on reception who had been working a very long shift that day!
No breakfast for us, but we ate in the restaurant on the evening and it was perhaps the best AA Rosette'd restaurant we've had. Generous portions, locally sourced food and a lovely atmosphere, even if it was a little quiet.
Only issues we had were the wifi being down for our visit (and there not being any signal) but we quite liked being away from our phones, and trying to find the hotel can be a little tricky if you're using Google Maps.
We'll definitely be back! :)More
