just returned from a short Easter break at Robins Nest, it was perfectly placed for visiting family locally. The accommodation is well appointed and comfortable, it was just right for our family and had all we needed. The site itself was "interesting" but then I guess in high season it may be a little busier. My only complaint was the gardener who insisted on cutting grass at 9 every morning close to the lodge, but that is not the owners fault.
All in all, lovely, the owner was terrific and we would consider staying again.
Stayed with 2 teenagers and a preteen!!! Hot tub was a massive hit, lodge was very well equipped and to a high standard. Area was quite and views lovely. Sham on site pub/restaurant was closed but this was not the owners fault . Would stay again and have already recommended. Thank you
Just returned from an excellent week. Facilities are 1st class, very relaxing site & accommodation is sited so that you are not overlooked. Personal jacuzzi was a great hit with us.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this well equipped holiday lodge.
We were lucky enough to stay here for the spring bank holiday week just after it had changed hands & been freshly decorated with some new fixtures & fittings. Dee the new owner was thoughtful & helpful & had done a lovely job of styling, decorating & providing everything you might need & more.
The accommodation sleeps 8 with 3 bedrooms, 1 double, 2 twins & a sofa bed. We travelled as 2 families sharing so split the cost making it a very reasonable family holiday, with the added bonus of our own private hot tub.
We found Honicombe Holiday Villages central location ideal for visiting all coasts. Phone signal poor & no wifi so real get away from it all place.
We did use the onsite facilities both indoor & outdoor pools. Although the pools are small my children enjoyed using them, their only disappointment was the pools were shallow so no jumping/diving in. I personally preferred the very hot sauna.
2 lovely village pubs nearby serving good food. Supermarkets only a short drive away if you'd rather make use of the kitchen & dishwasher in the lodge.
I would book Robins Nest again just wish it was only closer.
