We just needed a quick meal on a Saturday night before going to a friends party and this was the perfect location on pretty Church street, just a short walk from the lovely riverside in Twickenham so we were very glad to have been squeezed into what was a very busy restaurant on the weekend without a reservation!
Ambience: buzzing, busy, frenetic, fairly Mediterranean really! Clearly a popular local choice...some previous reviewers moaned about sitting upstairs but I actually thought it was quieter and a bit more spacious up there.
Service: was a bit slow but they were busy, maybe needed to be a touch more attentive, especially for the upstairs room, but was always super friendly...manager was doing lots of the running around, she needed extra waiting staff so she could have managed people waiting to come in, and general customer care better
Food: bread nice, Jamon croquetas bit disappointing and mushy, chicken skewers yummy albeit sauce was very garlicky, lamb tagine amazingly tasty, roast cod melt in the mouth and a delight, nice with lentils but they were far too salty, patatas braves superb, as was spicy sauce to go with them.
Overall, great food, bustling atmosphere, nice decor and ambience, would highly recommend as very good all rounder!
