Attended the Northampton Saints v Leicester Tigers, Rob Horne Testimonial & Fundraiser. An amazing turnout of 40,000+ (Northampton would get about 13,000 average for a premiership home match) however this looked a bit lost in a 84,000 seat stadium. The oval layout gives good clear and uninterrupted views of the pitch, however lots of people were complaining about being dripped on from a leaky roof on this rainy day. The food prices were expensive and the drink prices, at £5.70 for a Lager, seemed extortionate. Underneath the stand it is cold grey and very industrial looking. A lot of the toilets in our block were shut off as "out of order", not really good enough. The exit and trudge back to the train station was a pain. Heaven know what it would be like on a day when twice as may people are attending ? ! ?
