We took our two children to Attwell farm today (4 and 2 years). It was truly the most magical experience for
us all and worth every penny. The children met Santa ( the best we have ever seen)- he knew their names and was so friendly. You didn’t feel rushed and he had such a lovely way with both children. The grotto was beautiful with lights, presents, trees and a sleigh. The elves and Santa took lots of photos to make sure we got the perfect family pic. We then walked into a room full of toys where the children could each pick their own gift.
After this, we went to the elf workshop where the children made their own tree decoration, Christmas card and wrote a letter to Santa. They could post this into a beautiful white postbox.
We then made a bag of reindeer food and stuffed our own teddy bear, complete with birth certificate!
Soft play, animals, outdoor park and jumping pillow were also included. You could easily fill a whole day!
The food was lovely and a great price! I would recommend this experience to any family and we will be booking again for next year asap.
Well done Attwell farm. Your staff are friendly, professional and excellent with children. You have given our children the magic of Christmas this year which is something they sorely missed last year. We all left with huge smiles on our faces.
What a fabulous day out. My 4 year old Granddaughter had a wonderful time.
It was a very cold day, but nice and toasty inside. She did the Xmas barn event, as she does not like Santa. She loved it and was so happy with her activities especially the build a bear or similar creature. The Elves were especially nice to her.
The animals in the barn were so clean and the pens were well looked after. This is the best farm I have ever been to.
We went outside but it was too cold really so take advantage of the outdoor attractions.
She loved the tractor dodgems .
The indoor play area is huge and clean and there are lots of seats for adults.
The gift shop has items of various value.
Excellent car parking.
The staff are all pleasant and helpful .
We took out grandson to the Santa experience today and he had a wonderful time! They had thought of everything from writing a letter to Santa, making a decoration and reindeer food!
He also enjoyed the animals and soft play!
But the most magical thing was the visit to Santa! The very friendly elves to the most realistic Santa I’ve seen ( well done Attwell Farm)! The visit wasn’t rushed and he was so kind to our grandson! Plenty of opportunity to take pictures.
We booked to go here as somewhere new to try and had the BEST day! We had 3x kids 6,4,3 with us and there was something for all of them although getting them passed the soft play was difficult! Haha
Lots of animals to see, great pumpkin activity, the kids loved carving them! The cafe was great we had food and drink and it was all delicious!
The staff were all helpful & kind and it just added to the enjoyable day! We were late for our slot and had 2 extra children, (emailed ahead and had confirmation this would be fine) nothing was to much trouble and we were welcomed and not judged for the lateness which was appreciated!
We're not local but will definitely be returning, we arrived at 1.30 and ran out of time to do everything so deffo go early and make the day of it!
Thank you Atwell for a lovely day
We love Attwell Farm Park, we have annual passes so visit regularly and always have a great day. Today we visited and unfortunately my daughter vomited. The staff who came to clean up were exceptional, they were so kind and caring towards my daughter. I am so grateful to them for making a horrible situation that little bit easier.
Not a review of the park to be fair as I’ve not been but more of the care and attention (or should I say lack of it) given to the staff. My daughter had a brief interview for a vacancy and was offered a days trial. This ended up being a full days trial, 8am-6pm, unpaid of coarse, and boy did they make her work for that day, ended being generally just a cleaner really from mucking out sone animals (as probably expected) to cleaning the toilets. The staff room (if you can call it that) was a tiny room still decorated as Santa’s grotto which it is also used for with not even a kettle. She was told she would hear from them and surprise surprise she has heard nothing so was this just a way of getting cheap (free) labour for the day! As you can tell, I am not well pleased with them.
Good Evening,
Thank you for your feedback, in regards to your daughters trial shift, we’re still doing extra trials, before we make a decision on who to hire as we’ve had multiple participants apply.
We are going to be contacting all participants from the week commencing 20th September. We apologise for any confusion or stress caused if you haven’t heard from us. But a simple phone call or email, rather than a review, would of been a better course of action and would have given you quicker response. Our office are open Monday-Friday 08:00-18:00 & the farm is open 7 days a week.
In regards to our staff room, we are just installing a new £40,000 staff room and office which is set to be finished in roughly 3-4 weeks time, so at present we’re using temporary spaces. Regarding the use of a kettle, we have a full coffee shop & kitchen the staff members can use with 3 barista multi option coffee machines + 2 x hot water urns for free. plus discounted Hot food & cold food options.
The job description applied for, stated a multitude of jobs including cleaning. “Cleaning Indoor & Outdoor areas to our high standards” & “Cleaning animal areas”. During the interview all participants are told cleaning will be a large element of the day. Which is why we do these trial shifts to make sure the participants know what the working day will be like.
Once again, we apologise for any misguidance or non contact, but all participants will be contacted the week commencing the 20th September 2021 after we have reviewed our options.
