While this museum is small, the benefit of that is you will look at every piece in the museum! We spent just over and hour looking at the toys from every time period and felt like we had done the museum well. Easily kept us amused and would happily go back.

came on a school trip with 15 children, they open the place especially for us and the person who showed us the place was fantastic with the children and they really enjoyed it. It was good to see so many different toys. A couple of the dolls houses were magnificent, especially the one that looked liked a Swiss Chalet!
The one draw back, if taking my own children was that I thought it might be on the tad expensive side for the length of time it would take to look round

This is a hidden gem for children and adults in Ilkley. Three rooms manage to pack in a large number of dolls houses, dolls, and children's games all clearly labelled and at a good viewing height. Highlights range from a strangely moving 4th century BC jointed figure through 19th century dolls houses packed with detail to Thunderbirds and other 60s items. A good quiz sheet and lots of interesting small items to buy added to a great hour spent in this lovely museum. Check opening hours before visiting though!

What a delight. From the moment we saw the giant Yeoman of the guard teddy outside we knew we were in for a treat. A truly brilliant museum. Offered excellent valuer and amazing collection upon collection of nostalgic delights. Perfect for those born in the 1950s...1960s....70s....80s... It was fascinating looking at the games, cars and dolls. Will definitely be going back soon

Only a small museum, but packed with items from a sixties childhood, there is a ground floor with dolls house and shop dioramas, including a fun fair. Upstairs there is a room full of dolls, some of them quite scary, and across the hall are the model cars an soldiers, lots of "I had one of those" . well worth the £3.50 entrance fee.
