My family stayed here over the new year. We were excited about the venue but very disappointed upon arrival. The grounds are beautiful and lush and the view is incredible but the rooms needed major maintenance. Many of the appliances didn't work or had to be repaired while we were there. The main house reeked of dog urine and everything just felt dirty. The roof leaked and one night we had to scramble to get something to mop it up. So it used up all the towels and then we had to wait two days to get clean towels again because there is no place to do laundry only the drying rack outside. No one cleaned the rooms the first day and the last day ( they advertise cleaning everyday) The extra towels in the cabinet were musty and didn't seem clean. The wine fridge that was advertised was a joke. Power was off in the wine fridge and you could tell the wine had gone bad. My parents only had hot water in their casita one day and we didn't have hot water the last day. We couldn't use the oven except for the one time Luis lit it for us. Luis was amazing however and really likes the house it just seems like he does not get support needed to properly manage the property. There were screens missing on the windows in the main casita so was a free for all for bugs. It's Nicaragua so I am realistic to the fact there would be bugs in the room but there were so many gaps in the doors and windows there were so many bugs it just wasn't comfortable. The thick wooden screens that covered the windows banged all night long. Luis fixed this for us the second night but we had two sleepless nights as the wind whipped through the rooms and slammed the wooden blinds against the frame. Monica was difficult to get ahold of and seemed to not care about our issues. She was very disconnected even before our arrival and I did not find her helpful.
