As a Hilton Honors Diamond member I enjoy staying at different properties across Hilton's portfolio. With this hotel well outside Center City Philadelphia and very accessible by SEPTA train, I decided to give it a try.
It's always interesting how the Tapestry brand of Hilton makes use of the anomalies of the building. This hotel's lobby and restaurants were built into an old firehouse, with the guest rooms adjacent.
Enjoyed all the modern Hilton amenities such as Diamond membership, bottles of water, check-in and room choice the day before my stay, Digital Key, and app check-out.
The room was certainly adequate, with a nice view of the Schuylkill Valley and the street below. Plenty of space for my belongings. The bathroom had ample counter space for my toiletries. No issues with hot water. Room temperature was easy to control, and the WiFi and TV provided entertainment.
If staying in the area check this hotel out, but don't be fooled by the name. There is no West and there is no Main. It's at the corner of Fayette and Elm. While the address is 46 Fayette, the entrance to the hotel is in the back from Fayette and auto access to the front door is from Elm. Again it was a 2-block walk from the SEPTA train station (uphill when arriving, downhill when leaving) on Oak Street.
This property comes highly recommended.
