We stayed for a night with the kids while traveling through Philly. Bottom line, pick a different location. The hotel is wide open, meaning anyone can come and go. The registration desk on the 2nd floor ensures anyone can enter the hotel, take the elevator and bypass check in. The rooms are way past due for an upgrade- old mattresses, stained carpet and furniture, non-functional closet doors and water damage under the sinks. We even took the kids to the pool, and couldn't see to the bottom it was so murky.
It's also directly on the Septa line, which blows its horn the entire way past the hotel. Wake up call is at 5:30 as the trains start running frequently, and that goes until midnight.
