When arriving we met the most delightful host - Sade. She couldn’t do enough to make our stay special. She gave my granddaughter a “goodie bag’ and welcomed us to the town. Our room was a bit warm and my husband asked Sade to check it out for us. She concluded that the air was not working and proceeded to give us another room. Each step of the way she was helpful. Noticing the pullout couch was missing pillows, she had housekeeping bring the to us in a timely fashion. The maintenance crew was sent for to clear a clogged sink (Sade called them and they showed up within 5 minutes). they were pleasant and left us with a note and a chocolate hammer to let us know they were there if needed. Having all this speedy attention made us feel “taken care of.
The Inn thought of many things - fruit and bars available for all to savor. Games in the dining room for all. The free breakfast was a plus, with pleasant servers. Cudos to the manager for her creativity.
A special thank you to Sade!

We stayed for a night with the kids while traveling through Philly. Bottom line, pick a different location. The hotel is wide open, meaning anyone can come and go. The registration desk on the 2nd floor ensures anyone can enter the hotel, take the elevator and bypass check in. The rooms are way past due for an upgrade- old mattresses, stained carpet and furniture, non-functional closet doors and water damage under the sinks. We even took the kids to the pool, and couldn't see to the bottom it was so murky.

It's also directly on the Septa line, which blows its horn the entire way past the hotel. Wake up call is at 5:30 as the trains start running frequently, and that goes until midnight.

Room tip: Seriously, find another hotel that has been maintained.

Traveled outside of Philly for a business trip, stayed at this hotel for one night. Overall the staff was very welcoming and helpful. You do have to pay for parking, which was a surprise. I think it is $13 a day, which is not terrible.

The rooms feel like small studio apartments that are very well designed. There is a full kitchen with small cook top, microwave and refrigerator. There is a 2 person dining table, large sofa and a very convenient desk. I did have to work from the hotel room and it was very comfortable.

There is a free continental breakfast offered each morning, which was good.

The hotel does have an indoor pool and gym, but I did not have time to enjoy these amenities.

My only complaints was that you can hear trains running by and honking a horn almost every 30 minutes on very nearby train tracks. There was randomly an exterior light fixture aimed directly into my hotel window and the blackout shades were not able to completely block out the light. This could have been the room I happen to be assigned to.

Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear that our services and amenities met your expectations. At the same time, we understand that the SEPTA Regional Railway can serve as a distraction to some guests. We hope you will consider us for any future lodging needs in the Philadelphia area.

Best regards.

The hotel was nice enough, they have a bar and the breakfast looked decent for the price point. Unfortunately, the heat didn't work properly in either of my rooms. The first room they put me in couldn't get above 62 degrees. I needed to talk 3 staff members before someone took a look at it. I specifically requested a call when it was fixed so I knew it was taken care of. I never got a call and when I got back the unit was off. The same thing happened at the second room (thank god that room could get to 67). Again needed to talk to multiple people, again the unit was off when I got back. From my interactions with staff I can only assume they knew about the issue and had either chosen to do nothing or were told to do nothing.

There was only decaf coffee in the room. We called the front desk several times and no one answered. The toilet seat was almost off so I had to tighten it myself. The bathroom door wqs large enough to accomodate a wheelchair but there was not a single grab bar in the bathroon nor in the shower. The commode was extremely low and hard to use without a grab bar. Someone started to vacuum the hallway outside our room at about 9:00pm. Very noisy outside since the commuter train runs right across the street and there are two crossing and a station very close so the train horns and warning gates were loud and active a good part of the night. All in all, a very unrestful and uncomfortable experience.

Room tip: Pick another hotel away from the commuter rail if you want a good night's sleep.

We stayed in October for a family wedding. The hotel is located in a poor area, right next to the Septa tracks, so the train was heard throughout the night. However, the hotel itself is very dated and extremely shabby rooms. The pullout was paper thin so we borrowed a blowup bed from a nearby family member. The showers did not drain well and we were standing in ankle deep water. Toilet ran all night, then did not flush. The vanity door practically fell off as a hinge was broken. Other family members had similar issues in their rooms.
